I love getting a massage from Cheryl. She is kind, skillful and listens well to a client's needs. I always leave feeling so much better than when I went in. The space she has created is delightful. Simply put, a massage from Cheryl is a wonderful experience. I highly recommend it.

My husband and I love going to Cheryl Tjulander. Her massages are great. It’s very easy to make or change appointments on line. It’s easy to pay. She is very attentive and always listens to our concerns. She has helped both me and my husband with our pain issues. We have experienced much improvement since going to her. Highly recommend.

Cheryl's expertise has made a huge positive impact on my physical and mental health and wellbeing. So many muscle groups in my body were locked up due to chronic stress. My lower back pain has disappeared and my digestive issues have improved by getting my abdominal muscles to relax. Cheryl is great at addressing specific issues and I have continued to see her monthly to manage stress.

Cheryl is wonderful and has helped me to heal after an injury. She really knows massage and anatomy. She does traditional massage but also uses other techniques like warm stones or bamboo. She has had recommendations for further self-treatment at home. Beyond massage, she’s a caring and reliable professional who shows up for her clients.

Cheryl was very thorough in ascertaining how she could help address my therapeutic goals even within the first session. She was conscientious about asking about levels of pressure during the lovely massage session, and she goes above and beyond to make the entire experience offered with comfort in mind. Her skill is evident and the thought she puts into her practice is unique. I enjoyed the hot towels, hot stones and other modalities that were unique that helped my body relax and receive.

Post-2020 my whole back was I need of a massage. My shoulders were locked, tight and painful. Over a few weekly massages, Cheryl got my body working together again from my shoulders to hips and knees which started giving me trouble. Her communication is top notch and she is both an intuitive and trained massage therapist. She listens, checks in, and modulates her therapbased on your needs. There was alot of tightness I had been carrying for years that she slowly, methodically dissolved. I highly recommend her.

My experience at Poulsbo Healing Arts has been transformative. I was seeking a path to peace or acceptance of pain inside of my body, mind, heart and spirit. After decades of both traditional medical interventions and my own existential journeying I had little hope that massage and reiki could be so impactful. In Cheryl’s hands I found massage that was actually therapeutic with lasting effects (not just a relaxing temporary reprieve from my chronic pain). She has a gift of also being able to tune into what the body is telling us both about my whole being. Sounds too good to be true right? We discussed my goals and values and she explained how we all have ideas that can be self limiting. Whether you don’t believe in the flow of energy in life or simply believe it is impossible to be pain free, we believe what we tell ourselves. I walked into her office believing that I had retriggered a decades old back injury so badly that she would not be able to even touch my back, and certainly not help me feel better and walked out of her office pain free. I KNOW MY BODY. It was impossible to me until I believed it wasn’t. I now actually know and trust her and my healing journey has brought me to a place where my physical pain is gone most days and in parts of my body it is just gone for good. For those weary of the spirit work, this style of massage has done for me what years of other countless massages and intermittent physical and occupational therapy hasn’t been able to touch. If you are interested in exploring your internal processes and how your relationship to the earth effects your health (we need sun and water and to interact with ecosystems, like literally touch dirt and plants). If you are open to the idea that some people have the gift of feeling what is shared by all of us and can encourage you to heal yourself from that place or if you are interested at all in strengthening your relationship with the flow of energy that just exists inside and outside of us, the reiki experience may be for you. I was never a skeptic but now feel more grounded and able to protect, preserve and share my energy in a safe way. I have so much gratitude that I have found a practitioner who listens to me, what I say, what my body says and what my energy says and gives sage suggestions and supportive tools for me to practice at home. She is helping to facilitate my health with her caring, kind, professional and knowledgeable approach. I give the highest recommendation possible for the services I have partaken in and if you would like to speak with me directly about my experience please contact Cheryl for permission and I am happy to get on a zoom call. I am a real person who has received real beneficial care. I don’t do many reviews but I wish everyone could experience what I have and want to sing her praises from a mountain top!

Cheryl is very sweet and detail oriented. Her space is lovely and calming. I liked that she checked in on whether pressure was enough, and her focus on making sure she understands what you're looking for in a massage. I'd definitely recommend her!
