Good bar to watch games, but do not sit at bar stand. Better to walk up to the bar and try stand in line than it is to sit at the bar. You won’t get any service if you do. Came to watch the game and sat at bar. Only a handful of people inside but we still got ignored and other patrons were consistently serviced and we didn’t get approached until I had to extremely wave the bartender down. Drinks are good and food that is served from next door are good but don’t think service is that great.

Through Yelp Elite This was an interesting event since we've never heard of this place. We got there around 8:30 PM on a week night and the place was fairly empty. We didn't get a goody bag compared to the other reviews though. Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - Yelp event drink was very spicy but the SO loved it with the tamaroca around the rim. Didn't care too much for the paper even when soaked with liquid. Ambience: 5/5 - fairly quiet and lots of space! There were a few pinball machines and many tv with different games on Service: 5/5 - We were greeted fairly quickly and once checked in they were able to get our beer but only the male bartender knew how to make the special event drink. Value for price: 5/5 - fair pricing for drinks. Would come back for the happy hour and to try more drinks! Thank you TD, Progress on Main, and Yelp for putting together another fun event!

Progress on main is located in downtown El Monte, it is spacious and with a sports bar vibe. I love that all the staff were so friendly and accommodating, it def left us a very good first impression of this place! It’s a good place to come for happy hour! Even on Saturday, happy hour is from 4pm-8pm. Friendly staff + Drinks with a fair price!

Only 1 bartender provided great service and was kind too. One bartender gave me a random drink I didn't order and was too fed up with him ignoring me when there wasn't even a lot of people inside at the time. Only 1 person was getting orders of food for people at tables, and it took a long time to get your drinks and food. The best thing about the place was it was spacious, lots of tv's to watch and a live DJ. Hope the next person has a better time ‍♂️ ‍♂️

I had a terrible experience here on Saturday night after the Dodger game. I was walking friend to the restroom, as she was wearing a boot due to an ankle injury. A patron stepped on her boot and turned around and gave her a disgusting look. When returning to the table after our quick restroom break I was confronted by aforementioned patrons friend and ultimately assaulted. She hit me in the face repeatedly, and I did not react. The 4th time she hit I attempted to defend myself, as it is my right to do so. At this time security came and kicked me out and left my attacker in the bar. I understand removing people due to these scenarios, but the aggressor should be removed as well. Bad vibes, ghetto people, troublemakers hang out here. Never returning.

I had an IPA blood orange it was strong but tasty/yummy.! Theres I believe comedians on stage or was open mic night, cool entertainment. Very spacious, clean. Pool tables and lots of tv entertainment. You'll love it here it's nice, lots of tables . Very good place to socialize ^_^ you won't regret it. Great staff rock on

If I could rate this place 0 I wouldn’t even do it cause I need something below the bottom of the barrel to rate this place. The female bartender the one w black hair, tatted up, and big lips size of a boat, whom didn’t even serve me, no type of introduction nothing comes up to charge me for my drink, slides the charging port to me without a word overcharging me $17 for a $9 drink and walks away as if I’m that air headed to notice that scam. Weird. She gotta work in Figueroa or other place cause this not the place to overcharge what’s not yours but with those lips I get it, any income is income for a person like that. This place needs to hold their employees accountable. 0 stars, thank u next.

Had a horrible St Paddy’s Day ‘23 experience with huge wait times, untrained staff behind the bar and a rude manager. That said, time to update my review. Fun & lively atmosphere on weekend evenings. Above average beer list. Service can be slow when busy. Food options are decent or easy to grab food nearby. Good place to watch a Dodgers game. Check it out if you’re in the area. Watch for cops on the way home.
