Proverbial Wine Bistro

My husband and I decided to have a date night. We had never tried this restaurant before. We shared the rustic bread, crab cakes, and the prime steak board. Delicious food and excellent service. We were too full to eat dessert. But rest assured we will be back.

We had a party of 8 and really enjoyed the Seafood board. Their lemon Blueberry drink was delicious and our server was AMAZING. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone looking to dine with friends or individually!

Food was pretty good, enjoyed snacking on the appetizers, very nice atmosphere, plan on coming back.

We had the Seafood Board, A steak board with cream spinach, cauliflower au-gratin and so much more!! The dessert board was out this world. Please if you haven’t check them out you’re missing out. Best Dinner I’ve had this year hands down !! Will definitely going back .

Charity was wonderful as our waiter/bar tender…the times I’ve dined here have been pleasing. Brunch was hot and pleasantly portioned. I love their waffle and chicken plate with a yummy coffee martini. All of my guests had a fantastic experience and we can’t wait to come back.

Excellent food, the best we’ve had in Baton Rouge! Service was excellent as well. Our server (I think her name was Meridian?) was incredibly attentive, thoughtful, helpful, and accommodating, with a friendly and happy personality! Definitely recommend!!!

I like small bites and this place has a nice selection of boards to choose from. I had the seafood board and I really enjoyed it. I’m not a tuna tartar person so my friend finished that off. Nice vibe and atmosphere. We also had the dessert board. I will be back to try the other boards. I hope they add where you can add cheese or sausage selections to any board. That would be awesome! 2/25 back for lunch and had the black and Bleu tenderloin! Will be back tonight for my event!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner here! So much that I went to one of the wine dinners less than a week later. Hillary remembered me when I called and made sure to make me feel welcome for the wine dinner even though I was going to be a bit late. The staff is so attentive and friendly, they are organized and don't rush you like most places. Our waitress helped us choose entrees, answered questions and even just made small talk. The atmosphere is very calming and relaxing. Perfect for an after work drink and unwind. Now let's get to the food... The crab cakes were amazing! There is more stuffing than crab but the flavors with the sauce made it worth it. The prime rib medium was cooked perfectly. I didn't care for how the potatoes were cooked. They were like crispy on the outside so that made the skin hard to cut through and the inside was soft. All the veggies were good. It came with asparagus, the cauliflower, mushrooms, and spinach. I took the spinach home and ate it with chips. I do wish it came with more carbs but I didn't feel overly full and everything was so fresh. We also had the steak which came with the same sides. For dessert we got the cake that was like Chantilly cake and it was soo good. The fruit was fresh and the cake was moist and flavorful. I will go back again and again and again!
