We were late on Saturday night and didn’t want to wait in line. So we were back for cold beers Tuesday evening, good selection of cocktails & eats on the menu. Clean, well-kept, fresh decore, comfy environment with a variety of seating areas: booths, small tables & chairs, bench seating, and the bar. Great ambient music. Small well-lit dance floor and if the dance music is as good as the background sounds, this will be a great place to dance on the weekend

Last weekend when visiting town I was overcharged for a drink, then got the boot for bringing it up. I asked Edgardo (per receipt) or Michael (as someone called him) the price of a certain vodka mix; he said $9. I ordered, paid with my card, and saw $10 on the receipt. I asked about the difference; he growled that he said $10, insisted that he told me twice, and said "you have a receipt." I then heard him say $9 plus... (unintelligible; the bar was loud since a RuPaul contestant was there). I asked if it was $9 for the vodka plus $1 for the added juice (not the case for an earlier drink) to clarify what he said; he repeated the told-me-twice statement, said I shouldn't be asking about prices if... (again, unintelligible), and demanded that I "get out of [his] sight." He then proceeded to summon the security guard to expel me from the bar, during which, I said I did nothing to him. Mind you, I was calm during this whole encounter. The guard cordially escorted me outside (where we could hear each other); then I explained to him what happened and that I did nothing to this bartender. The guard agreed that what happened was not my fault, and said the prior two weeks had been rough; but he told me he had to obey the bar, and added I was welcome any other time. I asked the guard if he could talk to the bartender since it was not fair to me to be blown up at for nothing I did wrong and get punished for it. Later that night, a straight ally told me he was once booted from here too, for politely declining a dance with a gay man who then complained to security about it. The ally recommended a different place, where I had no problems at all the next day. The guard did hope my encounter did not affect my view of this bar. Much of my time here was fine (no issue with two guards, the cover collector, or an earlier bartender, plus at least the drinks I had were good); but if someone can seemingly get plucked from the bar just for being disliked, whatever that may look like -- plus, based on other negative stories (side note: Edgardo/Michael is the short bartender guy described on Yelp) -- I have my doubts. Hopefully I'll update this review with some better info if I ever try this place again. [I know this was a long one, and this wasn't everything -- so thanks for your patience if you read to the end!]

looove this place as part of my queer routine! cute queer friendly place BUT they never have extra ones for the queens who perform. if a business nearby is open, i have better luck getting ones from them. if you want your performers to be tipped, please keep more ones on hand!!! otherwise no notes

One of my favorite bars in Cap Hill, Queer bar is a lot of fun. The drinks are STRONG, but the line is usually super long on Fridays and Saturdays (to be expected). The dance floor is decent sized and in a cool spot with a wall full or mirrors. There's a lot more seating available than is ever used at night. The DJ is a little disappointing though, it's really hit or miss. They play then entire songs, there's not really a cross over or blend. It's like you're listening to your Spotify playlist basically. They play a lot of pop music, which isn't really isn't my thing. Overall it's a fun nightclub with cool and safe vibes.

Went to Queer/Bar for a drag show last night! Had a great time with my husband. It’s very rare to go out nowadays because me and him have different work schedules and yesterday was the day where we can actually enjoy some time together. Also, we like live pretty far from there: Issaquah, WA. Otherwise, had an amazing night. Saw some cool performances, very nice bartenders, and saw some of my old acquaintances . If you want to see some good drag, I highly recommend coming here and support local queens. Last night’s main event was Delta Works comedy show and I laughed so hard!!! Love love love it ! Lastly, I want to say my thanks to Jesse the bar supervisor for the free drink I had last night. You’re an amazing individual and I hope good things will come to you.

Every time I go the staff behind the bar is beyond rude. Now you have to order chicken from across the street and pick it up on a shelf next to the front door if you want food. They’ve jumped the shark at this point.

Fun cute bar with a nice front seating. The stage is bit odd as it’s in the far back and only viewable by the vip sears or a narrow passage way. Still fun and full of characters
