Great live music and an amazing list of whiskey! So many it’s hard to pick a favorite, just like your favorite Spice Girl! Kidding! You know Posh is your favorite. Cocktails are hand crafted, well balanced, and as awesome as the Oxford comma I just used. You won’t regret going here!

This place is simply amazing. Excellent live music (Frank Sinatra vibes) and service. The atmosphere in general is very enjoyable for dates. The speakeasy It’s inside the restaurant. The place has seating for about 10 tables and bar, it gets pack pretty easy and fast. The food menu is the same as the restaurant, but i believe the drinks menu expands significantly. They have a great selection of Whisky (3 pages menu) if you are a fan. The food was very well sized and fresh, the flatbreads were a popular choice. The dessert is the only item I would not recommended, it was just OK. Parking was a bit of a hassle because the area is popular, but I will say it depends on times. They do have happy hour from 3-6pm, I believe 6 days a week (in the restaurant side)

This place was awesome. The food was good but not great however the drinks were out of this world. Service (Ashley) was on top of things and always made sure you had a full drink. The live music was awesome as well. Totally recommend

Awesome atmosphere. You are really taken back to an era of mob bosses and coppers. The food was delicious and the drinks were even better. I had probably the best Italian creme cake I've had since I was a child. Our waiter was also a great server and helped us with every request and question we had. I highly recommend this place!

It's pretty cool the way you get in, but it's the exact same food as the restaurant it's in. The prices are also higher just for going into this area. We were sat in the back by the bathrooms and the chairs were big leather armchairs. It was really hard to eat food sitting like that. Plus everyone kept coming by and waiting next to us while they waited to use the bathroom. Our server literally forgot about us. I was only able to order one drink. He brought the food and one drink and didn't come.back for an hour. He literally told us he forgot about us. It was ridiculous!

Great spot! We went early before the music and it was a very calm chill vibe. Drinks were great and selection was excellent. Had the flatbread and was not expecting much as most bars are ok at best but it was very good! Service was also excellent.

From the minute you walk into the phone booth to be invited into the speakeasy you know you're in for a treat. The whiskey selection is phenomenal, the bartenders were fantastic, and if you need some food, that's great, too! I had their house old fashioned and it's right as you would expect an old fashioned to be. We are the sliders, meatballs, and fries and all three dishes were delicious!

Rare Books Bar also known as J Theodore Restaurant and Bar was magnificent. The food and cocktails were marvelous. The live entertainment captured the moment along with the excellent customer service from the servers. The deserts were splendid! I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and option to dine indoors or outdoors. With such a crowd we were looking at 30-45 minutes waiting time. I highly suggest making a reservation ahead of time. The Hostess, Holland, SAVED THE DAY FOR ME AND MY DEAR FRIENDS. She was able to find me a table outdoors near the entertainment and make a 4 seat table a 5 seat table. As a member of the National Press Club of Washington DC and Founder of Get Up Radio / Get Up Radio Media,she made me amazed as she did the unexpected. I highly suggest that the management and owners should reward Holland for making my night to write this review and saving it so that we could experience this great atmosphere and service. Thank you Holland! Because of you, I shall definitely return there and tell some of my closest friends of my truly unique experience! I highly suggest this for special occasions, business meetings, enjoying time with friends and family and first dates. ENJOY!!!
