Remi's Thirsty Moose

I needed a fish fry lunch on the way up north and found this place. Nice view of the lake and had a great walleye fish fry lunch. The dark/amber beer on tap was really good. Service was excellent at the bar. I would love to come back anytime. Recommend.

Great waterside stop north of Madison. Felt like we were in the north woods. Food: average burger. Regretted getting good tequila with premade margarita mix. But they have plenty other options for blended margs always on special. And other tiki drinks. Atmosphere: mediocre on the inside. Outside is where it’s at - a handful of tables overlooking lake Wisconsin, a volleyball court, and little beach area. Service: straightforward and nice.

Honestly the worst fish fry we’ve ever had. It was worse than Mrs Paul’s or Gordon’s frozen fish sticks. Total mush. French fries were fine, nothing Wisconsin fish fry about this meal. for the price we got robbed!! Bartender was slow and absent minded. Won’t be back. Sad because the location is cool. More people walked out without being served. Wish we had done that too.

AMAZING!! Remi's smokes their own meat (including the salmon which they also fillet and debone) prepare all their own sauces, and so much more! Not only were our Smoked Salmon Salad w/ pineapple-mango vinaigrette and our Pecan-Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwich w/ Bourbon Sauce on the side and Sweet Potato Fries DELICIOUS, it was all fresh!!! Megan & Chris are super helpful, super knowledgeable, and super friendly. Remi's is a must stop when you're in the area. We will definitely be back!

If I could give this place a six star rating, I would definitely have to Enjoy the lunch specials.

Going through town from Iowa on our way to our vacation cabin today and chose this place to eat lunch, burn some time and enjoy a nice view. Turns out our favorite part was the amazing company. We've absolutely discovered one of our new favorite places ever! Be sure to stop here for the best time! ❤️

Stopped in for a quick dinner and a couple beers after boating. Average bar food. Great view. Local clientele. Interacted with staff. Had a pleasant college-aged bartender at first. Talked with her about her career aspirations after school, normal stuff. As a very part-time bartender myself, I asked if they knew anyone else (had friends, etc.) who was looking for a bartending job - I'm a recruiter by trade. A male bartender/the owner switched out with the previous bartender at shift change and immediately and only gave his attention to employee customers/a group of locals at the other end of the bar. Apparently, he did not appreciate me asking for employee referrals. I looked and signaled for 15 minutes without him turning around or acknowledging me. I've heard similar stories from others about being ignored for their preferred clientele but wanted to give this establishment a chance and see for myself. Thankfully, the person I was with had offered to pay for dinner before we got there. I walked outside back to my boat leaving knowing they had no further interest in my business. *Edited for clarity after the owner decided he didn't like a negative review and attacked my character.

Okay so I didn't actually order food my friends did, and they loved it. The moose sauce is superb, the thing that really got me though, was the service. Idk if she was owner or just employee but she seemed to have a genuine report with her locals and she had a great sense of humor. All in all I fully intend to return
