Ron's Corner Tavern

This is hands down one of the best bars I have EVER been to! There are bars, and then there are BARS! Ron’s Corner Tavern is a BAR! This place is the penultimate bar for drinkers! They have a nearly unlimited selection of both liquor and beer, and they have one of the best Old Fashioned’s I’ve ever had, and to top it all off, the prices are beyond reasonable!! The cherry on top is the service! The bartenders here are the ultimate professionals, knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and real! This should absolutely be your weekly hang spot!!

First time there. If you like an Old Fashioned, they have several to choose from, all three I had were great. If you want it smoked, they got your back! Nice atmosphere, chill spot. If I didn't live so far away, it would be my go-to, but if I'm in the area, I will be back!

Bartender that works on Tuesday nights is incompetent at checking IDs. She rejected my state issued Texas ID on the basis that the letters of my name were raised. I am a server and TABC certified. Every TX ID has raised letters on the name. This person is not only losing business for Ron’s Tavern by rejecting individuals with real Texas IDs but also, potentially breaking the law and putting Ron’s and underage individuals at risk by serving up individuals with fake IDs who do not have “raised lettering” on the name portion of the ID. Hopefully Ron’s will address this issue but in the meantime, don’t expect to be served if you look younger than 35 and you have a real Texas ID. Fake Texas IDs and out of state IDs however, won’t be a problem.

Kimberly's service was phenomenal as well as her personality. She recommended the award winning "old fashioneds." Nancy prepared them and they absolutely knocked our socks off. I'd give a 6 star rating if it was an option. My wife and I will definitely be returning.

Best old fashioned I have ever had! To top it off, the cherry was thee best I've ever had. Miss Kimberly & Miss Nancy explained the origin of these magnificent cherries and the whole experience will bring us back & highly recommended it !! Definitely more than 5 stars❤️

This is a hidden gem. This tavern is tucked away in a strip mall. If I hadn't purposely been looking for a bar in the area, I doubt I would have noticed it. They are predominantly a beer/whiskey place with lots of options. They make a mean smoked old fashioned, that is very reasonably priced. They don't have their own kitchen, but you can order food with them, and it's brought over from the New Orleans restaurant next door. Apparently, they do karaoke and trivia, too. Overall , I love the vibe of this place and will be back.

Love this spot! Our server, Kimberly was extremely sweet and friendly and provided phenomenal service to our large party for my friend’s birthday. The inside has a cozy vibe and there’s a big covered outside patio for those who smoke! They had a great selection of non-alcoholic beverages (I highly recommend the Happi seltzer) and they’re connected to a delicious New Orleans style restaurant with great food! I highly recommend the Jambalaya, Shrimp and Grits, and brussel sprouts. As far as alcoholic cocktails go, they have amazing prices! I had an aperol spritz for under $6 which is unbeatable! I can’t wait to come back again!!
