Sailors’ Grill

From out of town and I wasn’t impressed, the prices are high for no reason, I’m sure because of the area, but the food sucked, small piece of flavorless fish… The Mahi sandwich was disappointing to say the least. Service was great from our waiter, just not good at all on the food part.

Our dinner was disappointing. The fried grouper was burnt and overcooked. We informed our server, who said she would tell her manager, but no manager came to speak with us. The server then spoke with the kitchen manager, who claimed that this was how they prepare their fried grouper. He offered to make a new order but warned it would be mushy. This isn't our first time having fried fish, so we questioned whether he knows how to properly fry fish. They shouldn't argue with customers, especially when it's clear the fish is burnt. They should have simply remade it and apologized. We ended up ordering fried shrimp instead, which took an additional 40 minutes to arrive because they cooked it in the order of the tickets. The server said they didn't know how long it would take to serve our fried shrimp because they were backed up. They should have prioritized our order since they burnt our fried fish. Additionally, the server forgot our chips and salsa, and it took over an hour to receive our meal. I attached a picture of our dinner; the original looks more burnt than in the picture due to the lighting.

This is a great venue but is totally mismanaged. The Manager was rude from the first interaction to the last. Our server was a sweetheart. The food was fair, not great. They charge you for every little thing, so be careful if you ask for extras! I like Juanas for the deck and music but I will never eat at this place again.

This was our first time eating here. The hush puppies are very good, but so was everything else we ordered. I didn't take the pictures of our food when it first came out, sorry. Our server, Haylee did a wonderful job.

I enjoyed my salad, and my husband enjoyed his sandwich, but the service was a little on the slow side. My husband needed some additional items once our food was served and it took a long time to get our server’s attention, and once we did, she forgot to bring the requested sauces to our table. Other than that, it was an enjoyable experience

They were out of several things when we arrived later in the evening, but their shrimp was some of the best, non-fishy-tasting shrimp we had on vacation. There’s a lot of shrimp I won’t even eat. I just had a small Caesar & the blackened shrimp as my meal. The chips & salsa are good as well! We received good service & good food! 🙂

We went to the bar half and had some ice cold beers. Very friendly bartender and great views. Outside bar was closed but it has a huge deck and even volleyball courts

I can’t comment on the food because we just stopped in for a drink. We had kids with us, so we had to sit in the restaurant rather than the bar area. So, my food rating is actually for my beverage. 🙂 I had the Island Girl (picture attached). The service was great here. We came right around shift change, so our server let us know that she was leaving and who our new server would be. We appreciated that heads up. We enjoyed the views and the atmosphere. The bright colors really played well with the beach atmosphere here. All in all, we would go back when in the area! Likely would eat something next time too.
