Great spot to drink and dance. My boyfriend and I went on a Saturday night and it was full of people. There were lots of women but it was still probably 75-80% men. Drag show was fun. Drinks were a bit pricey for average pours. We will definitely go again next time we’re in town.

Great experience here, cleanest bathrooms in a bar!! For the Drag show, the stage platform is not tall enough, hard to see the queens unless you can get to the front.

My partner and I recently visited Scorpio and were impressed by the atmosphere—it’s definitely upscale and gave us vibes similar to Legends in Raleigh. The music was great, and the drag performances were okay. However, my main issue lies with the drinks. After paying a $20 cover for two, I expected a better experience at the bar. The first round—Tito’s and Sprite, and a Jack on the rocks—cost $25.26 with a tip. The next round, with just a Coke added to the Jack, was $29.16. Both drinks were mostly ice, with what seemed to be a very weak pour and served in surprisingly shocking small plastic cup, possibly the smallest I’ve ever had for a gay bar. I’m fairly certain it was just a single shot, if that. Also the bathrooms were possibly the cleanest I’ve ever seen in a gay bar. While I loved the atmosphere and what it’s offering, I think other local bars offer better value. For example, we stopped by Sidelines before coming here and ordered the same drinks plus a shot of Fireball for $23, not including the $5 tip. The drinks there were much better, stronger and in a standard size glass. I’m willing to give Scorpio another try in the future, but for now, I’ll be keeping an eye on whether any improvements are made. If I’m spending $75 just on drinks and a cover to get in the door, I expect a better pour, a more consistent price, and a more satisfying experience overall.

I will not be going back. I heard the club was back open so I came to see what the new vibes were...even after reading the reviews. This club sucks, songs were old and trash ..very much gentrified. I love the drag shows but this one was boring and not enough room/space like the old Scorpio had. I miss the old Scorpio it was the best club I’ve EVER been to ( music was turnt, had a lot of space, drag shows were on point and interacted with the crowd, never a dull moment. Everyone was turnt, happy, and dancing). This new Scorpio will never be like the original. We need the old Scorpio back ASAP!

Good atmosphere, love the new building, but it’s giving gentrified. The staff is unfriendly and the music is not what it used to be. DJ was not open to suggestion either. I miss the old buildings atmosphere, I hate when a good club moves uptown and only caters to white people. Felt very uninclusive for a gay club.

Not a fully inclusive space for queer women or potentially POC. It’s primarily for gay men and straight people to see drag shows. The recently "improved" location has been tremendously gentrified and honestly don’t waste you’re time trying to find parking because drinks are small and expensive. Staff are rude and potentially discriminatory. They also lack safety measures to protect the community, I just personally do not feel safe here.

I’m relative new to North Carolina but when I got here last year I hear that Scorpio was the place to be. So when it reopened I was excited to go but disappointed awaited me. The aesthetics of the different levels was indeed cute, the drinks average but the atmosphere and the music gave gentrification. We were told that Saturday's are better so we came back the following night and it was the same or even worst. I feel like music is such a universal language for it to be stuck into one genre of house music especially with it being in

I made a comment on social media stating how I felt the club should be more diversified and was blocked shortly after. I mentioned inclusion being a current issue as the old club welcomed ALL. Even in the LGBTQIA community, black Americans are still EXCLUDED. SMH. I see this is no longer a spot for all. Allowing a better selection of music would also help. As we can also see, the owner doesn’t reply back to these kind of comments but will chime in about drink prices.
