Our cocktails were unique and the menu was exciting. The atmosphere of the upstairs vs. downstairs is very drastic. Feels. like two different places. Downstairs is dark mood lighting, feels more casual and maybe good for music? Upstairs has a buzzing, classier, semi-hipster vibe. We only ordered drinks so I can't comment on the food. Glad we went, it's a good place to wait for a dinner reservation.

Sidecar was an awesome experience. We were back in town for a wedding and it was our first time at the new location. We sat on the patio overlooking the stream and it was great! The drinks were excellent (as expected) and the food was awesome as well! Highly recommend the Chicago dog and the brussel sprouts.

Excellent cocktails. Cannot emphasize enough how well-balanced these drinks are. The one percenter was the smoothest spirit-forward bourbon drink I’ve had. Crushing turts was gorgeously presented an delicious with a distinctive funkiness. Bartenders were friendly, answered questions willingly, service was quick. The wasabi fries were delicious and creative, General Tso’s chicken was tasty. The outlier was the lo mein noodles, which were a bit bland. Would definitely return.

This place is great, as the reviews state. Indoor and outdoor seating, but everyone orders outside. They take breakfast to the next level, beyond your standard cafes or breakfast locations in SLO. Coffee/Tea selection is Wonderful, while taking pride in how it is served. We were a party of 6, which 3 kids, and it worked well. Also dog friendly outside.

For a cocktail bar with a small food menu, the dishes are surprisingly well executed. They're well thought out and meticulously crafted, just like their cocktails. There were a couple minor service hiccups, but the food and drink, as well as the proactive attitude of the staff, means this place still deserves 5 stars at least for the day I was there. Update: I've learned that some staff have a brazenly indifferent attitude.

I can't ever wait to go back to sidecar! It's always first up on my list of places to go. The appetizers are always amazing, the Brussel sprouts and tater tots are always a must. The hand crafted cocktails are the best in town, the main courses are worth every calorie and penny. I would eat breakfast lunch and dinner here everyday if it was possible. The staff is always friendly and amazing. It's the perfect place for date night, dinner with friends, a celebration or brunch. 10/10 best place in slo!

Happy hour until 6pm made is a great choice for a pre dinner snack and drinks. Drinks may seem small but are delicious and heavy and correctly sized in my opinion. Happy hour drinks were $11 at our visit

I enjoyed the food and the drinks, the sun never sets on the British empire definitely ranks amongst my favorites and the Waldorf salad is delicious(but you must like dill). The Fiesta fries were also very good and service was likewise great
