Sisu and Löyly

Wowowow - we were absolutely blown away by our experience at Katie’s floating sauna at Sisu & Löyly. True northwoods magic. The sauna has a very chapel like feel and the views were stunning. A perfect spot to unwind, relax, and meditate. Would recommend the sunset time slot for even more incredible views! The water at the lake is so clean and felt incredible. Our only complaint is that we wished we could have stayed for hours!!!

I purchased a private sauna experience for my husband and I as an early anniversary gift. This was an amazing experience. It was the closest thing we have found to an Icelandic spa in Minnesota (we enjoyed those on our honeymoon). We love making sounds from the sauna, lake or cold shower, and the fire pit. We had the entire place to ourselves for the majority of our time there. Everything was very clean and minimalistic looking. The lady working there was very friendly and attentive to the fire pit. Even offering to give us a reminder when we had 10 mins left so we had enough time to shower at the end. The views were amazing. My husband and I had a blast and would absolutely do this again. We’ve recommended to all our friends who visit Grand Marais!

We were gifted a Signature Sauna here, and it was a great experience! It’s such a beautiful view from the sauna and private setting. We would certainly come back! Thank you Michelle! Just note that if you plan to shower, you must do that within the 90 minute slot you scheduled.

We had a great experience at Sisu Loyla. It was very clean. The robes, towels, supplied water bottles and shower slides were well thought out and appreciated. Staff was engaging and pleasant. I jumped in Lake Superior at a nearby beach on Jan 28! And survived! Overall a great way to embrace winter. We will be back!

We had a really lovely experience here! The sauna was so relaxing, especially with the view of Artist's Point out the window. We also enjoyed sitting at the fire pit and listening to the waves! The small details were so thoughtful - cozy robes, local teas in Yeti mugs (so it stayed warm the whole time), and scents you could add to your sauna water. We will definitely be visiting again!

My partner and I drove to Grand Marais specifically to go to the Sisu and Löyly Sauna! Booking was simple. The sauna and lobby were clean and super cute. Our sauna guide Maddi was informative and very helpful. Would highly recommend this experience for a fun couples getaway! Price for a private session includes tons of amenities like showers, changing areas, sandals, robes, and water/tea. Everything is catered to and accessible!

An amazing experience! I visited Sisu and Loyly with my wife on a getaway weekend to Grand Marais. The staff was great and provided us with everything we needed to have an amazing experience. (Robes, towels, sandals, coffee/tea) The location on the East Bay is stunning and the view un-beatable. We were able to cool off in Lake Superior via the public beach right next to the property. So cool!
