Skylark Lounge

Neat old venue, not as historic as it may seem, but there is some cool art and the bar in the upstairs lounge is well-preserved. Love the floor! Good to understand that the service here is not pushy or overly attentive-which I personally find refreshing and relaxing but may appear 'cold' to some. If you're in a rush or stressed out this place may not be for you.

Want to see some local bands play there the other night. It was only a $13 the show went from 8:30 to 11:30 pm. Brandywine rocked the venue and the band Tube Sock was good too. The beverages are swell along with some good local microbreweries. The upstairs stage, bar and venue is pretty cool. Nice place to spend an evening to listen to choice local music. Check it out if you're in the area!

Skylark was fun and exciting. We went to see a friends band play and do a recording for PBS. Duncan Maxwell, Dunk & the DFunk band. The band was Amazing. Full band with horns, you don’t see that a lot anymore. Very refreshing, energetic, cool & fun. We also got to meet Lady Los, such talent. Looking forward to see what these Artist do next.

Very rude and unwelcoming person at the base of the stairs guarding the upstairs was unwilling to answer any questions and misleading us into getting drinks thinking there was a stair well to the upstairs on the other side of the bar because she seemed disgusted to be at work or something. We only wanted to have one drink and play a game of pool thinking we were coming to the place described in the photos. Tried asking questions unfortunately we asked the wrong person working that night and ended up sitting at a bar to have the one drink then going home afterwards. Next time we will definitely go across the street instead of dealing with the two snotty folks at the door just for asking basic questions about the venue and its amenities. A 16 year old hostess at a breakfast resturaunt can teach them basic customer service instead of acting like highschoolers themselves over something not as serious as they made it to be.

I like this place ….. lots of variety as far as shows… I keep coming back ….you gotta go the Bobcat room upstairs for a band…. Great bar, mural, flooring…..just feels good!!!

The pool table culture here isn't great. If you're interested in playing with a partner or friend, you're forced to play the previous winner to secure that. If not, the previous winner hogs the table (doesn't matter how empty the bar is) leaving his pool stick in the middle of the table.

Divey downtown kind of bar. Pool tables and bar downstairs and bar with band space up. Good service, fun friendly environment

It's a bar in a neighborhood area'ish, parking is hard, we went to see Caftan play upstairs, the bartenders were extremely friendly, I would absolutely go back to see another musical act
