On my work and pleasure trip to Toronto this summer I went to Spa Excess a few times. I loved it. The front desk staff was always helpful. Those who complain about them may have a negative attitude going in. They are not your servants. They do a good job. They will not "steal" your deposit: you have to remember to get it back. I met a lot of hot guys of all ages. One night they had free delicious meatballs. I will go back when I am in Toronto again.

IF YOU like diversity, And an environment that does its very best to include all. And I mean all have any sizes, shapes, color, you name it. Has zero tolerance for abuse inappropriate behavior. The staff and management run a tight ship but they also give a damn. I'm very proud to call this place, a safe place somewhere that has added to the community of Toronto, even though it's lost a lot of its value of the community, not the bath house. I say to people it's more like home. It's peaceful. It's quiet and if you don't like something, ignore it. I would give this place a 9.5 out of 10 Yours truly & stay blessed and stay positive-minded, Destiny, XOXO

Visiting from Ottawa, I’ve been to Spa Excess and here’s my experience: It’s a great spot with friendly staff, the location is amazing at the heart of DT, and the prices are reasonable for a bathhouse, especially with everything being so expensive these days. The tattooed cashier is very cool and made everything smooth when checking in. The bar is a highlight, Ralphie, the bartender, was fantastic. We chatted for a while, and he’s super friendly and professional, handling the busy bar all on his own. He’s also in great shape, which definitely suits his role and most importantly makes great drinks,. The bathhouse provides clean towels and has both dry and wet saunas, plus a jacuzzi. Everything felt clean and well-maintained. I also saw one of the floor staff take care of a situation where someone dropped a glass tool, and there was glass everywhere. The staff, an Asian guy wearing a hoodie cleaned it up quickly and helped the person who got cut. He handled it calmly and professionally, especially for a late, busy night, seemed to be working alone the floors. Overall, it’s a well-run place with great staff, the only problem I faced was the fact it gets hot in there the ventilation system should be improved. Would recommend! 5/5

Horrible horrible horrible experience, staff are mean girls who can pretty much say anything about you and get away with it because “they know the owner.” That’s what I was told by worker Ibrahim. I started there for pride, and had come a very long way to stay. When I went to pay to renew my room, he said that I hadn’t paid - which is a lie as I had paid to renew twice at that point. When I asked to speak to manager, he said he was the manager. He even put his hands on me, I have it on video. When I emailed the manager he didn’t bother to respond.

The worst experience of any bathhouse we’ve been to! Thought we’d give this a shot instead of Steamworks and I regret it. Staff members were overly rude from the moment we arrived. The front desk attendant gave us attitude for no reason, then later we heard him complaining about how he couldn’t wait to be free of this place when he retires. If you’re that miserable why stay and ruin everyone else’s experience? Another employee dished out insults because I ignored his flirtation. Later I watched a third rudely ignore a guest because his phone was more important. Only one staff member actually seemed nice. Bathhouses have a particular smell, but this one too often reeked of pee, including in the play area. The showers only had one working soap dispenser, which was out. The hot tub and steam room were actually nice, but the rest of the place feels dated. The worst part of our experience was the clientele. Not bashing their age, but the place was crawling with the most aggressive, rude and pervy old guys who would stalk you from one end of the place to the other. Then they would get angry when finally told off. Pretty sure drugs were being used by some since there is no bag check. We tried to stick through everything but the vibe was so inhospitable we finally decided to cut our losses and head to Steamworks. Oh, and the employee who checked us in neglected to tell us he was charging a deposit. I’m glad someone else was there at check out or we probably wouldn’t have gotten it back. I have no idea how this place stays in business with such awful employees and guests.

First time visiting, staff was amazing and helped me figure things out. Some of the clientele were very friendly are welcoming, met some really cool dudes. But then holy hell some of the cliques of European dudes were some of the snobbiest people I've met in my life. My advice is to attend with a friend(s) you'll enjoy it a bit more.

The staff was super nice and the infrastructure like the jaccuzzi and rooms were very well thoughout, my first personal experience was the best. Out of all the spa places i would definitely prefer this one ❤️ p.s the crowd could be a bit on the older side but some egyptian god body types made it worth it

The customer service here needs some SERIOUS improvement. Update: Have no idea where all these rave reviews are coming from. Yep, the front desk service here, especially the older guy with all the grey hair, the way that they behave themselves and treat others, is completely rude and disgusting. Someone else wrote earlier that they seem racist and against people of colour and I get the feeling that they are very unfair to people if they don’t look a certain way too. Treat people with respect and do better.
