This place is clean and has a friendly atmosphere. The staff is on point and will take care of you. They have some old school arcade games if you’re into that kind of thing. The food is great. I had a bowl of Chilli and a burger. There’s a bartender named Kapri and she is the best. Good times.

I’m a local. I’ve been here many times. That’s why I gave 3 stars for the typical, greasy bar food. Atmosphere is dive bar plus sports screens and games. Sometimes the service is SLOW, but overall a decent ‘go to’ hang. Not anymore. Read that again. Not. Anymore. First off, the food and service has gone downhill recently. And now…I’ve got a bone to pick! They officially close at 2 a.m. (as listed on Google and their website). Always used to be this way. However, now they lock the doors at 11:45 p.m. They haven’t changed their hours online. The person at the door tells you they still close at 2, but can’t let anyone in after 11:45 p.m. If you shut the door 2+ hours before your listed hours, that should be noted somewhere. This is especially odd for a bar that’s known for being a late night hang. We planned a bar crawl for out of town friends, with this being our closer. The whole group was let down to find that the place we’ve been hyping up turned us away at the door due to this obscure, misunderstood, and non-communicated rule of “no entry after 11:45”. I will not longer be coming here or recommending it. So sad really. Used to like this place. Honestly, I would like to still come here, but I won’t until things change. Please, do better.

Looking for TV sports, beer, food, and arcade games in a family friendly environment? This is the place! Plenty of room for any size group. Multiple different areas to hang out. Lots of TVs with sports. Some are uncomfortable high tho. They have Pool, Pinball, Halo, Dig Dug, Motor cycle racing, and more. Beware the points system on the game 'credit cards'—they have weird purchase bonuses making it much more cost effective to buy many points all at once, all on one card (which leads to kids arguing). It's a mess trying to make sense of it. Games are like 6.5 points, 9 points, etc. Hard for kids to track remaining credits without checking the machine. Wish they just accepted a single quarter like an arcade game should. I'll be back tho.

We live nearby and had friends from out of town visiting, so we went out for dinner and drinks in St Paul. A little before midnight we decided to grab an uber to St Paul Tap because Google said they were open until 2am, and on one of our recent visits we were there pretty late and had reason to trust it. Our group arrived in an Uber XL just after midnight to find a sign that said "no entry past 1145pm", right in front of the text on the front door stating closing time of 2am. Sadly it turned out to be a complete waste of an Uber, and it's unlikely we will be returning to this bar, nor will we ever be recommending it to others. Putting a sign out front like that without updating your posted and online hours is entirely irresponsible and unethical.

Mixed reviews here…we enjoyed the food (combo pizza & brisket waffle fries were both tasty) & the atmosphere but we were really disappointed that a sports bar did not have a NFL playoff game on any TVs. We asked & was response was, “we don’t have access to that channel”. Family-friendly with several kids enjoying the games. Waitress was missing after receiving our food from the kitchen server & had to flag down a different server for silverware. The arcade had a wide variety of games (pool & darts too). We’re pinball fans & we specifically went to this venue to enjoy those but it was a packed section & expensive ($2+/game). I suppose I would return since I enjoyed the food & atmosphere.

Not recommended! I really want to have a good experience at St.Paul Tap but it seems that they do not want me to have a good time. For starters, the servers seem to be annoyed that they have customers. As a person how has worked as a bartender and chef, I am confused with their low energy and seemingly uninterested approach to service. During my first visit I asked what was on tap and got a heavy exhale and sigh followed by a "scan the QR code", I tested this on my next visit and got the same response. When I asked what they recommend I received a seemingly untruthful answer on one occasion and on the other a long pause ending with a "I don't know". What is going on with your staff, morale? I will add that QR codes are the worst technique any restaurant can utilize. It eliminates personal service at the same time setting low expectation of the server service expectations. QR codes is a incredibly low bar technique even for a bar/arcade. The food was decent but nothing to talk about. it wasn't bad nor was it a stand out, I didn't bother to take left overs home. Pricing was about on par, portions were good, presentation was nice. As a game enthusiast, I was excited to find a place that could potentially become a regular place for my friends and I. They have a decent selection of games but to be honest, the feeling that myself and members of my group had that we were not welcome by our server had my group and I leave without playing games at all on or two visits. St.Paul Tap, you have some work to do. I would recommend the getting rid of the QR codes and discuss service with your staff. It would hurt to improve your flavors as well.

First time here and we loved the place. There’s a large variety of things to do, a strong beer selection with a full bar and the food was solid. We were there after noon on a Saturday and had no problem getting an open pool table or any other activity we wanted to try. If you’re looking for a great hang out spot with great service and more to do than just sit at the bar, definitely give St. Paul Tap a try. We’ll be back soon!

Cheese curds are the best app. Southwest salad was also good and pizza has the perfect amount of cheese. Our server Kayla was really nice, said was new but we couldn’t tell. We would come back!
