With the influx of trendy and pricey bars and restaurants downtown, it's refreshing to find a place like Suttree’s that embodies the “Keep Knoxville Scruffy” spirit I love. From the moment you walk in, you feel an immediate sense of comfort. The cozy bowls of delicious ramen, the nostalgic pinball machines, and the live local musicians all contribute to a unique and inviting atmosphere. The staff are incredible, always welcoming and eager to serve. Suttree’s is a true gem on Gay Street, and I highly recommend it.

Great place to go and hang out have a bite and play some pinball and a few other games. Good atmosphere, clean and friendly. Best ramen in as far as where I've eaten.

We visited Suttree’s two and a half years ago. Now, it’s taken over the storefront next to it, added a giant arcade, and tons of different food. The ramen, however, is better than ever. We ordered the Shin Black bowl and the Veg-O Ramen. The Shin Black was spicy, so be warned, but it’s so good. The smoked brisket is melt in your mouth, the kimchi is great, and the poached egg fits. The miso soup broth is divine too. The highlight of the Veg-O Ramen is the marinated shiitake mushrooms, which are to die for. The miso broth and the kimchi are also great there. The Veg-O is called spicy, but it really wasn’t. We’d highly recommend Suttree’s High Gravity to anyone looking for amazing food!

A great hole in the wall type place in Knoxville. How they make instant noodle ramen taste so good is beyond me. Got their house special (Spicy) and I will definitely be back. It was kind of a slow night at first but picked up, and the flow of ramen bowls out of the kitchen has to tell you something. Also, their selection of beers is extensive, and even have 4 or more sours on tap. The service was not overly nice, but was quick and amicable. If you check your feelers at the door they won’t get hurt, and you will get your drinks and food in a timely manner. Good food, good selection of drinks, tavern atmosphere, and down to earth people. Worth checking out!

I'm conflicted by this place. They have good pinball machines and they are kept clean and maintained. However, their food is a big wheatfest. I'm sure the Ramen and hot dogs are great but since I'm a person who can't eat wheat, it's pointless for me. It's 2024... having a gluten-free bun or one dish with rice noodles would increase at least 20% of their clientele. It's time to join the rest of the world and accommodate all people. Until then, I'll just play pinball and eat elsewhere like the rest of us dealing with gut health issues.

I love the ramen here. It's one of my favorite places to get it. The beer selection is good, and it's a great place to hang with friends to talk or play arcade games.

Try their Matt’s Spicy Ramen, play some arcade games, and catch them during trivia nights for an added layer of fun. They’re usually always a bit busy, but waiting a few minutes for a beer isn’t all that bad with everything going on! Their food service also might take a few extra minutes, but totally understandable with the setup, amount of people getting food/drinks, and only one or two kitchen guys. Great spot in downtown Knoxville

This is a great place, you can't imagine hiding such a huge cave space in an ordinary store. It is very spectacular, with giant stalactites, crystal clear underground rivers, and high-hanging waterfalls. The tour guide is warm and kind, everything is beautiful, but most people don't wear masks. It is still necessary to do a good job of protection.
