The Barrel

Watch your bill. Bartender decided to take it upon herself to tip herself 3 dollars on an 8 dollar drink that I know for a fact I put a 0.00 tip on. I will be contacting them to ensure that this situation is taken care of. Insane that they allowed this to happen.

I do not usually give ratings/reviews (either positive or negative), but I felt the need to do so regarding my experience at the Barrel. On July 30th, my husband and I were passing through Ohio, on our way to Tennessee. After coming from Michigan, we decided to get dinner in Springboro. We read the reviews, they seemed favorable; and so we decided to select this restaurant. When we walked in, the atmosphere was cold. No one spoke, greeted us, or really even acknowledged our presence (except for the quick glances we would get-in their effort to not outright stare). We sat ourselves and waited for a server. Once we realized it had taken some time for someone to approach us, we simultaneously counted toward the 15 minute cutoff we would grant this establishment before leaving. After 15 minutes of not being served or even acknowledged-we left. No one tried to apologize for the wait or even stop us from leaving. Our business was of no significance to this establishment. We decided to take our Black money and our Black business elsewhere. If I could give the business less than one star…I most certainly would. This restaurant needs to learn the importance of hospitality and service.

Food was really good, had smoked wings and poppers, but even more, the owners and the people I met while there were so awesome. Made me feel at home while away.

Ordered a burger and the patty tasted like the cheapest frozen burger patty you could buy and the tots were ice cold. The service was friendly but very slow. The music was so loud I could barely hear my wife sitting next to me. And they also charge a fee for using a credit card but don't mention it until it shows up on your bill. I wish them the best, but this place definitely isn't for us.

Really enjoyed being here. Very good beer selection at good prices. Got the loaded fries and they were very good. Good atmosphere, friendly people and staff. Definitely would go back.

They have cool bands that play during weekends and other random days during the week. They have games you can play inside with your adult friends like billards, darts and more. They sometimes have open mic. The drinks and food prices are average. The quality of the drinks really depend on the bartender. Sometimes you just need to speak up so they can fix the drink for you. Food on the other hand are very good, the pizza is the best! I have also tried their appetizer platter and it was very big, you can share up to 4 of your friends. We were here past 10pm and they still serve food so that was great. They open until 2am most weekends.

Loved it, I'd like to hang longer, bar staff were ok, we had to keep asking for a drink rather them chatting and checking on us, but was ok

Had dinner here the other week. Definitely will be my new hang out spot. Bartenders are always friendly and nice and atmosphere seems to be your neighborhood “cheers” bar. If you have never had their pizza you have to try the taco pizza!!!! Wow! Service was great!
