Delicious food! I've had the smash burger and Nashville hot chicken sandwich over the course of my 3 visits here... I'm not sure which is better and I'm a huge smash burger fan! Good selection of beer as well. Bartender, Alan, is friendly, personable and accommodating. I highly recommend checking this place out for food, drinks, or both!

Extremely rude waitress. Brought out an order that was not prepared as ordered (ordered a single smash burger and they brought a double. I don’t care for a thick burger and don’t like one that isn’t well done, hence ordering a single). She came to the table after we had waited a super long time for the order to be prepared (restaurant was empty, not a busy night, it was a Wednesday at 8pm, so an off time) and rudely said “it was prepared in error as a double - we aren’t charging you for it being a double, just a single” and just dropped the basket in front of me. Without asking, she just expected me to accept what I had not ordered. So I said, thank you for letting me know and I’m sorry, but I dont care for it prepared this way. Before I could even get another word out, she literally took an unbelievable attitude/hissy fit, grabbed the basket of food from in front of me while storming off and saying “I guess I will have it remade” My husband, daughter and I all looked at each other like - what the heck just happened?? It was completely uncalled for. I wasn’t rude in any way and if she would have given me a single second before storming off, I would have asked is it possible to just have the second burger taken off - no need to remake - just pop the second patty off for me and make the single well done. Especially because we had already waited a long time and had a to go order already in for our other child who was home. But instead she cut me off mid sentence before I could say another word and snatched the basket like it was my fault - It was literally outrageous how nasty she was. We will NEVER EVER go back after the poor service we received and we will make absolutely sure to let anyone know - this isn’t someplace to expect good service. We made a huge mistake trying this place - we were hoping to change thing up and support other local small businesses. However, we will definitely simply be returning back to our normal weekly trip to Dog and Duck - where we always get impeccable service and great food! The Basement was a zero stars experience.

At first glance, I was inclined to rate it a three, but what elevates The Basement from a typical corner bar is its outstanding staff and impressive selection of beer and alcohol. My initiation to this place was on a Taco Tuesday, and while that's been my sole culinary experience here, I can vouch for the tasty and comforting nature of their tacos - a solid offering for a local dive bar. The Vibe: - Good For: Happy hours, post-work relaxation, weekend chill sessions, and anyone looking to immerse in a community where, after a few visits, everyone will probably know your name. The main draw? Cold drinks and great company. - Not Ideal For: Family dinners or intimate date nights with your significant other. This isn't the spot for a quiet conversation over candlelit dinner. A Little Extra: There's a fun side room featuring an array of amusement games, ranging from skeet ball to basketball, video arcade golf, and other arcade classics. So if you're in the mood for a playful competition while enjoying a drink, this place checks that box. Bonus: there’s a whole host of daily drink specials that are always on all the time. Here’s an example and kind of fun, is the mystery craft beer. I enjoyed a new craft double IPA beer that was excellent for a very reasonable $5. Similarly, there are some mystery shot and beer combos available. Another bonus you’re going to find here is that this is probably the nicest dive bar bathroom that I’ve ever seen. It’s even far nicer than most of the local restaurants that I’ve been to. This place has a peculiar uniqueness. Practicalities: Parking is a breeze, and the patrons exude a warmth that makes you feel like a regular, even if it's your first visit. Conclusion: For a local corner bar, The Basement scores a reasonable 4 stars. It's a place where the drinks and camaraderie shine brighter than the frills, making it an authentic spot for genuine connections.

The Basement is an absolute gem! The food is surprisingly amazing - definitely worth trying. The drinks are reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is phenomenal. The bartenders are awesome and add to the great vibe. It's the perfect spot to unwind and have a great time. Highly recommend!

Went for Sunday karaoke it was so fun and chill!!! The mozzarella sticks were bomb had to dig in before taking a pic my sister got a delicious pulled pork sammie and she said they have this great vinegar based BBQ sauce awesome!!!

unfortunately today I tried an old fashioned three different places in the garbage this is the only place they know how to make a true old fashion. Adam makes the best old fashion I've ever had in my entire life. People are friendly it's a great place to chill, have dinner with your friends birthday party whatever. Very warm place to chill. Cool crowd.

Ordered online for pick up, received confirmation via email order was received. I was then assigned a confirmation number with an pick up time. When I arrived to pick up my food the service I received (or lack off service I received I should I say) was completely and utterly disrespectful he had no and I mean not an once of customer service to be honest I did not feel recognized as a person. Its sad because I have had serveral good meals and times at the basement, but tonights experience just ruined my appetite and evening.
