The Basement Nightspot

Outstanding night club/ bar experience my friends and I try to make it out each weekend at least one of the nights. Bartenders are fast, friendly, the staff is welcoming, we enjoy the long islands and the super cheap cover and drinks. I like the music, Latin Nights and love DJ Cashous + Avera she’s great!

The bouncer with glasses is genuinely the worst shes not a good person. She will forcibly make you leave without your friends and will not let you pay your tab (which you will be charged extra for) stay away from this place its full of criminals and shady individuals. Also the bar tenders double charge people all the time. Its honestly a shame that a place like this can exist (literally taking advantage of college students). If I were the owner I would smack down some real reform.

Great nightclub in the heart of downtown State College. Drinks are reasonably priced. Djs are 5 star performers.

One of my favorite places to drink!! It might be busy but the bartenders always do their best to get to you and are always friendly. Not to mention the prices are wondeful for a college student! It's also super fun as somewhere you can dance the whole night with your friends. I have been there many times and have also always felt it was a safe environment as well. I highly recommend as it gives off more of a club feeling, which I have never had a negative experience at!

The good factors outweigh the negative. My complaints would have to be that, it is certain that you will spend a half hour in line to enter, and the bathrooms are dirty. Other than that the drinks are very affordable and always taste great. Music is awesome, fun place to be at. Though the bathrooms are filthy, everything else is kept clean and sanitized. The bartenders are hard to complain about for the most part. Some nights they’ll be nice, other times they’ll be friendly, and sometimes they’ll be meh. Except usually their pretty great.

Honestly I didn't buy any food or drink. I just wanted the experience and to dance. It's a good place to go for the party/dance experience. If you're in state college, check it out.

I'll come back here once they get bouncers that know what they're doing. As with all state college bars, if you don't know someone there or have more than a single drink, you will be removed from the premises for being "too intoxicated". People say penn state is fun but the night life is like a glorified high school. I'll return to the bars once they fire all of their bouncers and train some who kick out people who are actually being a problem. I hope people read this and boycott the downtown bars as well
