Beautiful restaurant. Open and sleek with a touch of country. Wonderful views of the lake from most tables and the bar. Unfortunately it was cold and raining so couldn't take advantage of the outdoor seating. Went for lunch and will be coming back for some of the events they have advertised. The coffee machine wasn't working when we got there but when it started to, the coffee was great. Our waitress was bubbly and very helpful and gave great recommendations on food. We had the brussel sprouts (amazing), calamari (perfectly crispy), and shrimp and grits (loved). For our meals, we had fish and chips, which my boyfriend said was nicely fried, but his Cesar salad was way too dressed. 'S' had the pork chop with a great mountain of mashed potatoes and more brussel sprouts (lucky), the Styx burger cooked to perfection (rice for dad's gumbo would have taken 40min) and I had the Mardi Gras pasta a little too heavy but . I also tried the Paloma and the Antioxidant cocktails. Both were very nice. Also, the bathroom was beautiful and gender neutral. Sinks along the wall and separate 'rooms' house the actual toilets. Ps, sorry, I don't know what happened to my appetizer pics

We really enjoyed our first visit at The Beacon. We loved the wings, spicy Nashville sliders, shrimp Ceviche and pasta Alfredo. I did not even manage to take pictures of all of it as our hungry sons started too fast. The selection of IPAs was very nice and Happy Hours from 12-6 was a bonus as well as the beautiful view of the lake. We will definitely be back.

I can't say enough good things about my first visit here! The food was wonderful and the fish tasted fresh. Everything we ordered was plated beautifully as well. The atmosphere is great- uplifting music, bright open dining area, with a beautiful view of the lake. And our server, David, was so nice! He had great feedback on drinks/dishes and was extremely attentive. Will definitely be coming back!

Great atmosphere. Definitely what the lake need for some new food. Loving it. Upon a recommendation, the wings are awesome super crispy and an assortment of different sauces. Highly recommended.

Scoping out the restaurant for a future event. Nice casual atmosphere with a beautiful view. Arrived early of the rest of my group. Sat me solo with no problem. Enjoyed a mocktail while I waited. Live acoustic music on the deck.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Beacon Restaurant, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations. The ambiance was charming, the service impeccable, and the food absolutely divine. Their crap dip, a unique twist on a classic favorite, was simply sensational. Creamy, flavorful, and perfectly complemented by crisp bread, it's a must-try for any seafood lover. As for their steak special, it was a true culinary delight. Cooked to perfection, each bite was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. Paired with savory sides of mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts. Overall, The Beacon Restaurant not only offers delicious food but also provides a warm and inviting atmosphere that keeps guests coming back for more. I can't wait to return and indulge in their exquisite cuisine again soon.

Five stars all around! We hosted our son’s first birthday party at The Beacon and had the most amazing experience. Working with Edna was wonderful she was helpful, accommodating and made sure everything was set up to our liking. Things ran very smoothly the day of the party and our guests are still raving about the food and the lake views. Highly recommend The Beacon for all your dining needs. Thank you to Edna and her staff for making our party a memorable one!

The server was so horrendous it was nearly comical. We never received our appetizers, our food was served cold and with an attitude. We went to the bar to get another round of drinks because she never came back to us and she was sort of scary. When we asked for our check she just told us the price. We asked for a check or print out and this seemed to upset her. The young lady hostessing was polite but maybe not experienced enough to handle the restaurant on a Saturday night. I would say this server was the worst I have ever experienced. The Beacon is an attractive dining venue right on the lake. Probably a nice atmosphere if not for the poor service. The menu was nice for casual dining, family friendly and with fun drink selections. I very rarely write reviews. I just thought to warn other people so as not to have their night ruined.
