The Bourbon Room

Hidden gem in Fredricksburg. The Cafe New Orleans downstairs had good food and service was great. You can tell the menu is well planned and just the right amount of spice. The chef (David) came out and helped serve the meal and was delightful. Upstairs the Bourbon room was cool with good drinks and nice bartenders.

It was a fun Friday night! Nice crowd but it seemed like a spot for young people. Like college students. The music was ok, I was able to dance a lot and I only had a beer so I can't speak on how the drinks tasted. It was pretty hot in there but I was able to get fresh air and go back inside so that wasn't too bad. I'll probably visit again!

Edit: They got a new DJ, not sure who it is but they don’t compare to the last one. Yikes. Saturday nights are great! They have a live DJ and is really talented. Friendly staff all around. While there's a line most of the time, the atmosphere is great and you'll probably find yourself making a few friends while you wait.

It's okay if you have no place else to go. The music is good so it's a good place to dance. But in the summer time it's not a good suggestion ... they have no central AC and it's hot as hell in there! They really need to look into getting that fixed. As well as some interior design updates.

Great dance spot and late night hangout on the weekends. Awesome Djs and great food specials that go late until the night. College kids have a great time here on the weekends and they even host theme parties and events monthly. Its always a great night at the bourbon room, but by far my favorite night with Rae is on Wednesdays for Karaoke.

The bar experience is great especially with highly trained and friendly bartenders such as Alec. I give this place 3 stars because the flooring is atrocious and the bathrooms are always disgusting. When the place is full of people, it is very hot and there is hardly, if any, AC running which makes for an unpleasant visit. The lighting is also quite terrible and needs to be revamped. This place needs a full renovation.

WON'T go back......Petty and disrespectful door staff. I've only lived in the area for around a month and I was a patron multiple times prior to having issues. Overwhelmingly the place gets good ratings but I encourage the ownership to take a look at your staff. Some of us who would spend a good amount of money there have been pushed away because of your unfriendly staff working the door. Somewhat disappointing as this is one of the only spots to play EDM in the Fburg area but I will take my money and my friends elsewhere. Nope.....just nope.

The bourbon room is a fun place to see your friends and dance the night away! I would 100 % Love to return to this place and have a great night downtown. There really is not any other dance floor in fredericksburg! I love this venue will return!!!
