The concept of this bar is really cool. There are multilevels with several bars in one. The place was shoulder to shoulder crowded on the Saturday karaoke night. The DJ was really nice and encouraging. People who go for karaoke should be aware that there is music played between singers lasting a whole song so this takes the rotation a long time to get through. The floors were very sticky and wet everywhere. The drinks were very expensive but the bartenders provided good service.

My husband and I hosted our wedding reception at Circ (Lounge & Rooftop) and were so pleased with the experience! The staff working the night of the event were helpful and friendly with our guests. Our event coordinator, Aubrey, was a delight - so professional and helpful and accommodating. She made it all feel easy-breezy. Very communicative and knew exactly how and when to jump in to help us with setting up and tearing down. We were so lucky to have her on our side on our big day! Other than that, the vibes were on point - clean and warm and glowy. Multiple guests commented on how perfect and beautiful the space was for our post-wedding party. Would definitly recommend to anyone looking for a cool, private space downtown 🙂

Evan was so slay. Got the nachos and the chicken tenders plus a lot of drinks and all of it was great! Then we played some Mario Kart and he gave me some advice if I should buy a Ninentendo Switch or not (will be buying one). I will be returning to Circ.

Had the honor of shooting a wedding here. Staff was friendly and answered any and all questions I had. The venue itself is beautiful and loved the cellar for dance photos! Can’t wait to work here again!! Photos taken by me! Sheree Danel Photography

We could not have asked for a better space to host our wedding reception than Circ. The rooftop space was absolutely perfect for our setup - 90 guests, a live band, open bar. The rooftop view at sunset, perfectly lit string lights, beauitfully restored building were matched by the most comprehensive hospitality I've ever experienced. Aubrey and her team were outstanding with rapid and clear communication, gave us great ideas and were accomodating to our every need. What really stood out was Aubrey's personal investment in making sure that our event was a success. She was with us every step of the way, and went above and beyond, helping us with setup in the critical hour before guests arriving, and did the same when it was time to teardown. Pricing was very reasonable, the whole process was transparent and easy. I can't imagine having a wedding anyhwere else in Ann Arbor.

If you're going to karaoke, be aware that it does not actually start at 8pm as advertised. It starts whenever the dj feels like starting, which was at 930 when I went. Also, they play an entire minute of "pump up" music between each singer which makes the rotation take forever. Every other karaoke bar I've been to only played like 30 seconds in between tops, recognizing that people don't want to wait an hour and a half for their turn. Besides those 2 annoying issues of time, it was decent. If you have sensitive ears, bring earplugs!

Was here Saturday night 8/31 after the Michigan football game with a friend for karaoke. My voice was horse from yelling at the game, so I wanted some lemons, which I know to be oddly successful in soothing my throat, but.. A) The first bartender suggested a shot of honey and a cup of warm water instead, which is not what I asked for, but I gave it a chance anyway just to humor the young lad, and surprise, surprise, it did nothing for me, then B) When I went back to the bar some minutes later and asked a different young bartender for some lemons, he gave me a shitty judgy look, but at least he obliged. But, with a lemon slice or two still left in my cup on my high-top table next to the beer I was actually drinking, the bus boy cruised by and snatched the lemon cup and threw it away without saying a word to anyone, air pods in his ears, and took off. On top of that, my friend and I got to the bar around 10-10:30, each put a song in at the karaoke/dj booth shortly thereafter, stayed until around 1:30, and never got called up to sing in that time. The dj/kj kept playing whole songs in between singers and even got to sing a song himself with his female friend. Oh, and $6.50 for a Pabst Blue Ribbon is ridiculous. Terrible experience, and I won’t be back.
