The Dogwood

We love to visit The Dogwood for downright AMAZING cocktails. The owners run the joint and if you sit at the bar, more than likely you can pick their brain about Crested Butte & how they come up with unique cocktails. Be sure to check their hours so you don’t get disappointed. Add some appetizers and viola, you have yourself a perfect date.

This bar lived up to the hype. Some places tout chef inspired, hand crafted cocktails. Here, all you need to do is sit at the bar and see what that really means. Our bartender, Andrew, was fun, chatty, and welcoming. Be warned that the place is small and, even though they only serve drinks and light fare, it fills up quickly

Walked up tonight looking for a great cocktail. The ambience of this spot is on point!!! Add in the craft cocktails is a huge bonus. I am from Oahu, Hawai’i. We walked in and Rowan alongside bartender Archie greeted us with a huge smile and welcomed us We came for drinks and got some awesome drinks. Not just awesome drinks but around what we were feeling. So good! If your looking for a great spot and a great cocktail go check these guys out ❤️

Awesome and expensive cocktails but heed this warning - they are delicious and dangerous. I think we also had some rosemary mixed nuts which were excellent but I was too impaired to really notice. Nice staff, good ambiance. I'm not kidding about how dangerous these cocktails are, though.

Excellent craft cocktail bar in a cozy, well decorated and unique cabin setting. Cocktails are innovative and fantastic, and many drinks are made with house-infused liquor. We ordered the beet vodka drink (very beet-y, almost like a cold pressed juice) and the beesting drink (habanero infused tequila), both were amazing. Also ordered the whiskey sidecar drink and the poco loco drink (tropical pineapple vibes), which were great too. Staff was knowledgeable and helpful. They also have a little food menu. Definitely recommended, if coming at prime time there may be a wait.

The Dogwood was by far the highlight of our recent trip to Crested Butte. This place is just fantastic. From the drinks, to the staff, to the atmosphere, I cannot say enough good things about The Dogwood. The Beetnick Martini was out-of-this world and the Yellow Rose (while I agree being rosemary forward) was delicious and I can't wait to have another. The folks running this place know their stuff and they know how to make a great drink so don't be afraid to try something new. Some drinks take some time to make, but it’s worth the wait. We loved the warm, comfortable, neighborhood feel of the place. And if you should happen to visit The Dogwood when they have their "balsamic, thyme and garlic pickled eggs” get some!!! They were beyond delicious!!! If you go to Crested Butte, go do The Dogwood!

We are so glad we checked out the Dogwood! The cocktails were amazing, deliciously balanced, and creative. Visiting from a city that is big on cocktail bars and speakeasies, we were still very impressed! Luke was awesome, funny, and provided great service (as well as guessing our drink orders accurately ). We will certainly be back on our next visit to CB!

The Dogwood is a special place. The owners and staff work extremely hard to continually elevate the experience. They are extremely knowledgeable about everything they offer and are highly skilled and take pride in every cocktail served. Places like The Dogwood are few and far between and I can’t say enough great things about it!
