The Emerson

We had our wedding party here, which turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. Gina, the owner had excellent communication with us leading up to answer any and all questions quickly. The venue was ready for us when we arrived that night, fully decked out with beautiful decorations and lights they provided, flowers they cut and arranged for us, cake and desserts they displayed, and our own photo booth in the back. They helped provide a thoughtful itinerary and kept the pace of the entire event. Truly could not have imagined it going any better. We already know a few couples thinking of switching from a more traditional to a bar reception after they attended ours. Would highly recommend this venue.

I just left the place, my APA Monday is playing there tonight, but I am sooo sleepy I had to go. I slept very late last night__the Emerson's soothing And relaxing jazz music in the background made me more sleepy! This establishment is amazing: it's a blend of antique feel And a touch of modern. The ambience is amazing!

Great vibes and good lighting. Seems like a great date spot. Huge backyard with delicious burgers in the back and this place has one of the best pool tables I’ve played on in Brooklyn. The staff is really kind too

I came here with a date one night as part of the city's Negroni week. The place is cash-only, which is a bit annoying. Past the bar is a small backyard which is quite chill and has good vibes. Overall, this place was alright.

Great neighborhood bar. A quintessential example of Brooklyn life. Locals and travelers a like will enjoy this place. There is plenty of space for chatting with friends or small tables for an intimate date

If I could give Gina and her team 1,000 stars I would! We booked this bar for our wedding reception and there aren't enough words in the world to express how amazing the Emerson team is! Gina was so great at communicating throughout the whole time we were planning. She helps you with the decorations, the cocktail menu, and pretty much any other details you might have missed. Gina is truly a rockstar and I believe she moonlights as a wedding planner because I was so blown away with just how much she is hands-on. If you're looking for a spot to host your next event, formal or not, I highly recommend The Emerson!

10/10 spot. all around happy atmosphere. got pool + ping pong plus its pretty affordable and its usually not too crowded. also, the bartenders are always nice. I’d recommend to any new New Yorker.

Great spot! I appreciate that the bartender acknowledged me as soon as I came in the door, and that he made one of the best old fashions I ever had ($13). The red light mirror thing behind the bar also sets a cool vibe. Great diverse mixed crowd. Good energy peeps in here.
