Stopped in for a drink during the hamtrammck festival labor day weekend and it has great decor and music. Cheap drinks and fast service. They have old church pews for seating and stained glass taken from churches decorating the walls. I'll be back!

A really great bar and club in Hamtrammick. I came down here for Detroit Techno and to see WYLDCAT play. The bouncer, bartender, and staff were really cool people. The bar had a good selection and everyone was really nice. I would recommend coming here anytime for a show or just a good time.

What a great venue! The place is simple and on the smaller side for a club, but it has the amenities you would expect...a raised dance floor, pool table, plenty of bar seating, and an outdoor patio. The service has always been exceptional and they host so many great local events and DJs.

I've recently moved to Detroit and I have visited this bar twice already. The owner is amazing as well as the employees. The spot has cool vibes. The lighting could have a brighter ambience.

Great location to sit for a drink and very regularly has DJ's and other music events for all tastes. The Bartender is very friendly and accommodating.

*first timer here* The atmosphere was VERY cool! I liked the energy and the decorations were lovely. I don’t know if I came on a busy night or something but the drinks weren’t great. I haven’t gone out in awhile so I kept it simple and ordered a margarita. It was mostly ice, tequila, and a splash of the sours or something because there wasn’t much and it tasted like tequila and ice. It was $15 in a small plastic cup. The dance floor was really cool with nice lighting. The service at the bar wasn’t that great though. I see whoever responds to comments for bar wants to come at negative comments here aggressively so before I say this, I worked in bars for years so I understand customers being rude and such. I understand being slammed busy too. But, I was nothing but polite and he kept skipping over me until a customer had to say “she’s been waiting a long time” he then took my order for another Marg but a little rudely said he was too busy to make it- no time for any drinks in the shaker. He looked at me like I had asked for his leg or something. I didn’t know you could only order very simple drinks at that time. No where did it say limited bar options on Friday night at 11-12pm unless I am wrong then please correct me. Overall, it was alright. I like the ambience and the community. But, I would check that they are serving stuff at the bar if you would like to drink and don’t order a margarita whatever you do ): I would give it another chance based on everything else though (:

Entering the The High Dive is like being transported to the Victorian Era. The cocktail parlor is filled with stained glass, Victorian fixtures and hand crafted wall paper. The owner/bar tender is a world renowned artist who has poured his heart into this establishment and it shows. The cocktails are delicious and they use fresh ingredients. The drinks are also reasonably priced. Most nights The High Dive is supporting local artist and DJ's and has some of the best techno nights. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. I definitely recommend stopping in for a drink or checking out one of their events.
