Fantastic atmosphere and service. We stepped in just to take in the vibe and ended up sticking around for a while thanks to the awesome staff. Live music, Ravens game on the tv, and multiple areas with varying aesthetics. Food portions are a little small for the price, but otherwise this place is perfect. Our new favorite bar in the entire Fells/Canton area.

Live music all day and night. It was very quiet during the early afternoon, but very pleasant and entertaining. The cocktails were fantastic. I will try the food on my next visit. They do have merch to purchase. Cool hats and T shirts. Can't wait to go back again.

Visited on Sunday afternoon of Fells Point Fun Fest, 10/6/24. Had a few beers, chips & salsa. Was Poe there that same night 175 years ago - the night before his untimely death? Great tee shirts! Soft & light $$

To walk into the oldest bar in the United States is pretty cool. Also, to be at a bar, Edgar Allen Poe had a drink at is also pretty cool. Great place to get a drink or two with friends. They also have good food. I had their smash burger. Highly recommended.

I was very excited to visit the oldest continuously operating saloon...but then was disappointed when I walked inside. There is no character left to the bar that would make it feel like the olden days as they have upgraded and changed way too much. The bathrooms are more modern than my own home! We we're there before a baseball game and it was empty. Maybe when there are bands it's better but still not an old school saloon.

Have been wanting to come here for a couple of years, and happy I finally stopped in. The place is very clean, spacious, and AWESOME drinks. I think the stools are creative and comfortable; just maybe a bit dangerous if hammered! Food portion is decent, tasted fresh and nice I shall return, and it will not be in years or months... it shall be much sooner.

Honestly, I can't rate the food or drinks since I never received any. I come to Baltimore each year, and this time, I was covering fleet week. I walked to Edgar Allan Poe's grave site and museum and wanted to see the last bar "allegedly" that he was either on his way to or the last bar he actually went to. (Depending upon the sources) Never the less this was supposed to be the Poe's trifecta for the day. It was a beautiful walk from the Inner Harbor and the area, and people were kind and inviting. Upon my arrival, still early in the evening. (there was still daylight, but the sun was setting) I arrived, and the security guard was the last bit of "welcoming" that I received. The security guy gets 6 stars!!!! Once inside, I could not get served to save Edgar Allan Poe's life! I went to the top bar, but the bartender, she seemed to be more interested in her conversation with another patron. There were only 4 people at the bar... I went back down to the lower bar and sat on the end (7 people at this bar) same service. The bartender kept walking around and talking to staff, acknowledging I was there, but, never came over. I literally sat and googled dive bars and food near me. I found another bar and another food area. I made some social media posts caught up on emails and never was asked for an order. The security guy eventually came in and looked at me greeted me again. After another few minutes of giving the establishment a chance. I packed up my camera gear and ended up eventually at bar 1919. (FYI Completely different experience !!! Review on that place to come!! 10 stars!!!) Anywho, this was my experience and would not bring any of the crew to this establishment... Go where you're celebrated and not tolerated...
