The Ivy Tavern

We came here on a random Wednesday afternoon and were pleasantly surprised. The patio is great. It’s huge, it has sports on various TVs, it has games, and most importantly - it has tons of misters and fans going full blast. The service was also very attentive. The pizza was pretty good. The fried pickles were not very good as they were sweet pickles and not dill. My only real knock is its location. It’s in kind of a sketchy area between a pawn shop and a convenience store. So vibes started off on the wrong foot - but once you get to the amazing patio with full blast misters, everything is put to ease and we all had a great time!

Bartender on back patio is 10/10. Easy location. Large menu with apps, sandwiches, pizza, salads, burgers, etc. The garden salad was excellent with grilled chicken. The ranch is 10/10! Brisket fries are huge. Love the touch of pimento cheese!

If you haven’t been to the Ivy, great. It’s my favorite neighborhood gem, and my favorite bartender Kyle is also a total gem. I’ve started and/or ended many a night here at the Ivy, and I’ve never had a bad experience here with the management staff. They truly care about the people that come here, and take care of us like family.

I had the absolute pleasure of being served by Jesus, and I cannot say enough good things about him! From the moment I walked in, his warm and welcoming demeanor made me feel right at home. He was incredibly attentive, always making sure my glass was full and anticipating my needs before I even had to ask. His sweet and kind personality shone through in every interaction, and he was not only helpful with drink recommendations but also made the best cocktails I’ve had in a long time. Jesus truly made the experience special, and I can’t wait to come back just to be in his presence again!

This place has been open for 10 years but I feel like I’ve been coming here for 11. Kyle is my guy, always attentive and cool. He pours out more liquor than his heart and that’s alright with me. Keep doing what you’re doing Kyle

Favorite place in DFW to catch a game. Such a great vibe, excellent “bar” food, and all the bartenders are cool and on their game. Really dig how diverse the crowd is… all ages, ethnicities, sexualities. Good amount of seating and lots of TVs

The food is great! the burger is delicious and messy, fried pickles were so good but a bit expensive ($12 I believe?) And the turkey sandwich and grilled cheese are both so good as well. And I loved the (I think it was passion fruit) Moscow mule they have on the cocktail menu. Parking is a bit difficult, they have two small parking lots on each side of the yard in the back but they're usually packed. The yard is usually packed as well but inside is usually empty so if you want a quiet moment you can definitely do that, although service is more scarce inside as they're usually pretty busy with ppl outside. Billiards inside and outside and live music/djs usually in the evening. Really cool venue.

Kyle is one of the main reasons we go to The Ivy. He always has a smile, always remembers your name and orders. He’s very welcoming to what feels like his home. Love the new upgrades and the wall art. Great bar food like their pizza as well!
