The Local has some top tier wings. The wing is big but tender and crispy on the outside. Truly unique. Loved the lemon pepper seasoning. The fried okra and the elote were wonderful sides. Sat at the bar and had fast attentive service. Got there at 5 on a Sunday when it opened and it was packed at 6 by the time we left. Love this place and will be thinking about these magical wings for awhile.

We’ve been waiting awhile to go to The Local and it’s unfortunate they don’t allow takeout. But these wings were worth going in person and eating fresh. It was cooked to perfection and I find it hard to find another spot in Atlanta that has as good of wings and sauce. It also seemed like a great spot to hang out as tons of people were around, not even to enjoy the wings!

I’m not sure what the fuss about these wings are. Coming from Boston, we expected big things. We had done research online and read reviews that said this was the place for wings. Unfortunately, I think I’ll stick to my chain wing restaurants in Boston. We got there and were met with a bouncer checking IDs and holding at the door as they were at capacity. After 30 min, we were let in, found our own seats, and ordered at the counter. It’s about $17 for 10 wings with a number of favors (our favorites were Lemon & Pepper, Buffalo; do not order Spicy Korean or Sun dried tomatoes). The wings were smaller than expected and were so dry that you could crack the drumstick bone without even trying. We also got tots, which were the highlight of the meal. Some of their draft pours like the Lavender Honey beer were quite good. If you like the loud, crowded dive bar scene with mid wings, this is your place. We probably would not frequent back.

The lemon pepper buffalo were great of course, but the spicy Korean were the stars of the show. Fried okra makes a nice palate cleanser.

Cool little spot, good beer selection, wings were great. I'm not sure about the hot and fries though... Lol

Absolutely love The Local. Depending on the night, the wings range from really good to best thing I've ever had. Lemon Pepper Buffalo and Korean Buffalo are my go tos. But, honestly, the staff is the best part of this place. They stay slammed but are pretty much always chill, friendly and helpful. A treasure of a local dive.

The place lives up to its name. It's a joint beloved by the locals for many reasons. This dive bar is steeped in a rich history of near bankruptcy to modern day success. The wings are easily the best reason to come here. Sauces are phenomenal and wings are nearly fall of the bone. It is so impressive how they put out so many wings with such a grat quality. I'm a sucker for Buffalo and they provide the classic flavor with the quality of a 5 star restaurant. Only complaint is that seating is limited to be aware.

The Local is 21+, so make sure you have your ID! We had a group of 4 people at 6:00 pm on a Saturday and were seated right away. Service was great! Here’s what we got: - Basket of 10 Wings ($14): WOW. I get the hype. We tried the Korean BBQ, Buffalo, and Korean Buffalo, all of which were great. I didn’t taste much of a difference between the Korean BBQ and Korean Buffalo though. The meat fell off the bone, it was so tender. But the outside had a good crispiness to it. These were the best wings I’ve ever had. - Half Order of Spicy Boiled Peanuts ($3): Tasty! - Basket of French Fries ($5): Delicious. Crunchy on the outside. - Basket of Tater Tots ($5): Amazing. Perfectly crunchy on the outside. 10 wings for $14 is a great deal, especially for how delicious they were. Also, well drinks are so cheap!! I got a whiskey coke for $5, with tax!! I can’t wait to go back.
