The Lumbar

This place is literally a hidden ! The wings are amazing and full of flavor! The drinks are great as well! They play good music and the service is fast and the staff members are all friendly as well! This is my second time here and they have yet to disappoint!

Love the idea- but the execution is way off. Came here for drinks for my birthday. The website did not announce an open mic night or we would not have come. It was so loud it hurt. Even after the show was over, we couldn’t hear inside. At least it was cool enough to sit in the couple of tables on the sidewalk. Food was pretty good and drinks were grand, but was looking forward to a nerdy lgbt bar and play games, but it felt more like a weird club. Perhaps that’s why some staff was super friendly and others were very cold. Sad because I really wanted to love this place

As I currently sit in this establishment and write this review sitting at the bar. We have been over looked and not attended to for almost 20 min. It’s completely empty and there are three servers and no one has said anything. We were walked past and over looked so many times we just asked for the check to leave. It was really sad. Then we witnessed someone of the other race come to the bar next to us and was greeted within 20 seconds. They have all this lgtbq and equally decor but clearly there is no equality in this establishment.

The person that took my order had no interpersonal skills. They don’t ask you to cook of burger. It tasted weird forward the middle and when I looked it was pretty much raw. No one ask how the food was. The sweet potato fries and ranch was really good. Cute place but will not be returning.

This is a cool place afternoon or evening. The staff knows the menu items well and can offer great recommendations. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve tried here. Friendly staff, owner, and general atmosphere.

Went to Lumbar with a large party for my birthday and Rylie was so helpful and accommodating! We ordered food and the halloween-themed beverages. The food was amazing, highly recommend the smash burger and the chicken wings. The drinks were wonderful and the staff members were friendly. The bar itself is unlike any other I've been to in Birmingham. Whether you're planning an event or just wanting to have good food and cocktails, you have to try The Lumbar!

When we arrived we shared with the bartender that we found the bar online & it stated happy hour was from 12-5 Tuesday-Saturday. Well we were told that wasn't true and that it wouldn't be honored. What they have listed on their own website would only be honored by one drink. Totally killed our vibe. Wasn't very impressed.

This a great place to have a bit to eat drinks and good times with friends. The food is really good, drinks are tasty and creative, and the atmosphere is nice and relaxing. The location is convenient to downtown and there are other places and activities near. This place is definitely high on my list bring people to and show how great Birmingham is. Oh! The staff was wonderful, very helpful and friendly. Go check it out.
