One of my favorite bars in Portland! There’s an awesome selection of cocktails, whiskeys, and a pretty sizable food menu. Everything I’ve had here is delicious! Favorites are the olive oil & salt popcorn and the buffalo cauliflower, but you really can’t go wrong. Great outdoor, dog-friendly patio.

I ended up getting a ham cheese sandwich, garden salad, and loaded cheesy fries. It was by far one of the best salads I have had in a while. Leafs, carrots, and cucumbers are so crisp and fresh that you can almost taste the dirt. Sandwich and fries made with real Tillamook cheddar cheese. Staff was friendly and willing to try new drink recipes. For the service, overall quality, and price, this place is adequately priced. You get what you pay for, don't be a bum, and TIP your bartenders. Thank you, "Old Gold" for you service and hospitality. I'll be coming back soon.

Nice chill spot. Big covered patio area. Huge whisky collection. Food was much better than anticipated. We had both specials of the day which was a Chicken Kastu sandwich and the western burger. Both were great but the Katsu sandwich really stood out because it was a very interesting concept and really really flavorful. Will definitely go back.

6-stars for The Old Gold! The quintessential North Portland neighborhood bar. Since Day 1 it's been inviting, inclusive, and family friendly. There's an great beer selection, excellent food, and more whiskey than you could shake a stick at (I think I used that correctly)... A lot of whiskey. And a solid Mezcal selection too. The burger is 10/10. I've always enjoyed the staff and the vibe is consistently good.

One of my favorite places to grab quality bourbon at reasonable prices. The have outdoor seating with heat lamps. This visit I tried the house old fashioned and a pour of the 1792 Sweet Wheat, Cubano, and cheese fries. Everything was good as usual.

We love this place! Great spot to grab a drink after work or a bite to eat. Their cocktails are incredible! Fair warning - the last time we stopped by there were a large amount of children which seemed strange for a whiskey bar. A kid came up to our table and screamed in our faces while we were eating (I wish I was kidding). Either way, not the Old Golds fault. Just irresponsible parents. Every other time we’ve came the vibes have been immaculate

I had a really awesome time coming here for the first time. It was a shame I didn't get to do it the last time I visited Portland, but I'm making up for it now. This is an awesome place to meet up with others and unwind. The selections of whiskey and other amazing sins are not short at all. The atmosphere is so chill and the staff are amazing. They make drinks that not only look spectacular, but they are do delicious it's like you got punched by one man in the mouth with flavor.

A little noisy for a bar. Music was very loud for a place that welcomes minors until 8. Food was good. Up charges for changing sides not obvious. Not major, but should be brought up when offering the option. Great whiskey selection.
