The Old Point Bar

This is an authentic New Orleans neighborhood bar and music venue. It's intimate and welcoming. The bands that play here are the best musicians in the city. Good local brews on tap and a full bar. It's dog friendly.

Great vibes. Musty smell, but added to the vibes. Pool table and darts. Stage setup for live music, but none was playing tonight. Right along the river so a great place to stop if you’re in the area or going for a walk. Quintessential Algiers.

We are staying in Algiers for my bachelorette party and wanted to find a little dive that we could hang out at regularly. The old point DELIVERED - Cassandra the bartender was there every night and was absolutely the best. She was kind and thoughtful and went out of her way to actually buy decorations for a mini Bach celebration at the bar on Friday night. I cannot say enough good things about her - thank you SO MUCH Cassandra! We love the old point, 10/10 would recommend. God Bless Louisiana

Large locals bar about 6 blocks from the ferry terminal. No food, but they have 1 pool table and a stage. They also have a few video poker machines Great place to stop for a quick couple drinks.

We love this place. We work down the street and usually get off early on Friday's but our can't leave the area til 4pm for personal reasons so we've wasted a few Friday afternoons here, waiting. Can't recommend the margs enough

Cool locals bar. Anyone from a small town has been in a bar like this. Feels like home. The kinda place you can leave your wallet and phone on the bar and no one touches it. The people go above to tell you about the neighborhood they are rightly so proud of. Great people. And yes we will be sending gifts. Thank you for all your help and advice

Just went there for a drink. Was surprised by great live music. Bartenders were amazing. Great atmosphere, friendly people.
