The Penalty Box

We're a group of international students who wanted to watch a soccer match between Uruguay and the USA. We had looked at several sports bars in the area but "Bobby" was the first one to answer the phone at The Penalty Box and he said he would accommodate. My hispanic friends and I NEVER once felt uncomfortable or unwelcome. Other patrons were joining us and asked us questions about the match. I didn't expect the food to taste as good, having tasted "bar-food" before. I ordered 3 orders of Coconut Shrimp and the fries were amazing. Dale, the owner runs an amazing bar and this place manifests the best of American friendliness and cheer so much so that I brought another group of international students. I'm very glad my international friends got to experience that American culture here at Dale's place.

This place is very clean and nice. It's obvious that a lot of work was done. There are 8 new pool tables and 13 wall mounted video screens, new floors and furniture. If you want to go to a comfortable place with your friends, The Penalty Box will do! They also feature live music and comedy acts. You don't have to leave Pierce County for a nice place to watch a game, see a band, or play a game of pool!

Love watching my husband shoot pool league here! The service and food were great, but it was super cold in the bar, I didn't hear or feel any heat come on while we were there. Hubbt tried to shoot without his vest at first, but it was too cold, and he had to put it back on. I saw a table across the way with a space heater plugged in, too. I'm so glad I was wearing my heated Vest! Turn up the heat!

My new favorite bar. I come here every time I have an appointment with Discount Tire and when I am free. I met the owner Dale when he first opened this sports bar, it’s heart warming to see it grow. Darts, Billiards, Tru Golf, golden tee and live sports on TV.

I looked up bowling near me and this is what came up, because it was "sponsored". there is no bowling here. changed my review because management took the time to respond and it wasn't their intention to mislead.

The Atmosphere is fantastic and the Cowboy Burger was amazing and the sauce on it was fingerlicking good. I give them a 5 star rating for the food and the service. Don’t forget to get the coconut shrimp

Great food and drinks. Super friendly staff. Love having live music and comedy in the neighborhood

Absolutely disgusted. Walked in with my son today to have lunch before practice . Went to grab a menu and was told to go sit down. Extremely rude bartender and the place wreaked of a moldy smell.
