Me and the family decided to try this place out while visiting town. The atmosphere was great and we loved the decor and theme of this restaurant. We each ordered something different and shared it. Everything we had was amazing! We highly recommend this place and it is very kid friendly! They accommodated my little one and even brought over some games for her to play while we waited for the food. The staff was great and look forward to coming back.

We went and celebrated their Juneteenth events and it was wonderful! Great food and great people. Their greens were AMAZING! Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a laid back homestyle atmosphere with food that feels like grandma’s kitchen!

I had lunch with a group of 6 ladies and all of us enjoyed our meal. I got a salad and boy was I excited when it arrived at the table. The homemade croutons are big, they give you a generous amount and they were still warm from the oven, crunchy and crispy on the outside and softer in the middle. By far the best croutons I have ever eaten! I also ordered a 1/2 plate of the chicken tenders, but the tender was so big it looked more like a chicken breast! Juicy and delicious! The homemade fries (twisted or something similar in the name) were delicious and like a mix of steak fries and curly fries, with the option to have them plain or bbq flavored, both are good (hint of heat with the bbq). If you’re in Kirksville and haven’t been to The Press Room, I definitely recommend it for lunch!

I do not have high standards but this was disappointing. I came here with my friends and we should have followed our first impressions and left while we could. The menu was full of typos and was missing information about the dishes. We were one of three tables and our food took over an hour to arrive. The food itself was not good. The kitchen was out of things and the food we got was covered in grease. I was very uncomfortable here. Edit: I did not use my legal name in this review, as the owner seems to have no issues airing their employees' information in other responses to reviews and I did not want to compromise my own privacy. I can confirm that I did in fact eat at the Press Room where I ordered chicken tenders with onion rings and had a dirty shirley which the owner should be able to see. I did expect some grease with my food but the amount of grease was overwhelming and none of us were able to finish our food. It seems that the menu is curated with more attention to keeping it on one page rather than attention to detail. The aggressive response to my review leaves me thinking that focus is being directed in the wrong directions and that food quality is not being prioritized.

I came in with my husband and son after seeing the food posted on the Google reviews! We were not disappointed! The fries and chicken tenders were a little over seasoned but still delicious! The boys loved their burgers and the waitress we had was very friendly and prompt to make sure we had what we needed and wanted. The cook came out to double check that the food was good and and asked if we needed anything. I had requested a custom drink and the waitress was glad to make it for me and it hit the spot! We will be coming back!

Entering the restaurant especially at night definitely gives lovely vibes the lights and the overall decoration is fitting the name, food is great I love the selection especially if you want keto friendly options, the pajama girl is super sweet along with many of the other staff and owners. I will definitely be coming back. Great service and food.

The food was excellent. Nice portions. The onion rings and chicken wings have their very own seasoning you do not need anything to dip them in. I will definitely come back

I have never felt more compelled to leave a review, but the entire place was so sad. Chicken tenders and onion rings took an hour and a half to get to us. There was only one server in the whole place. The vibes were so strange.
