We paid 5 dollar cover charge and went upstairs. We were met with a very unfriendly bar tender who didn't seem to know her own pool table policy. There was a tray stacked with all of the pool balls on an open table. We asked about the open table and she said it was reserved. Another group brought the same tray up to her and she let them have the table when we should have had priority. She was unkind and blew us off when we tried to talk to her about it. She also made horrible drinks. 0/10 stay downstairs. Or don't come in at all.

Honestly not a bad club at all , tons of potential . Butttt my goodness the DJ is so so so bad on Friday/ Saturdays . Plays the sameeeee thing almost every time I come and I’m not even there a lot I go out like maybe once a month . Everyone in the crowd always says he’s terrible . The club would definitely be busier if you had someone with some new school taste versus an older geezer who plays Soulja boy EVERY SINGLE TIME.

I am 29 and have never in my life got drugged. I got roffied here for the first time. I am sketched out how that even happened.

Got dress coded for wearing the same attire as the majority of the fem presenting folks there. No issue with having a dress code, but enforcing it by how masc/fem the patron presents is in poor taste in a town like Bellingham. Unfortunately not the most LGBTQ friendly location in my opinion, and a truly disappointing experience for a night out on the town.

The Royal is a classic Bellingham party location. Been around for a long time and my favorite thing about them is that they have many different spaces and bars to explore. The music always hits, & the bartenders are always so polite and patient!

Would give 4.5 stars but physically can't. This place was pretty good. Idk if it was cause I brought a female friend with or what but cover was cheap. I mostly drank shots but the size to type(patron) to price could have been slighly better. I like how much there was but not how much it costed.Did try one of their slushie mixed drink and it was delicious. Went on a Saturday so of course the DJ is playing mostly the bangers from the early 2000's to now that bring a club some hype but not much outside of it. But overall did have a pretty good time.( I also dressed kinda like bad bunny on bullet train apparently ) so don't know if that affected how security saw and reacted to me. Also be wary if you have a out of state I.D.(Florida specifically) you might not get entrance because apparently people from out of state caused trouble and they don't want that, was the reason I was told. So maybe bring your military I.D. if you have one just in case. If the drinks was a little cheaper and if the D.J. was a little adventurous would give it a 5. Would go again.
