A Must-Visit Gem in Valley Village! The Thirsty Merchant in Valley Village is an absolute treasure! I recently visited and was blown away by the incredible atmosphere, friendly crowd, and fantastic staff. Even though the bar was bustling, the staff went above and beyond to ensure everyone was taken care of, providing top-notch service with a smile. A highlight of the visit was definitely the Giant Pretzel. The pretzel itself was soft, warm, and perfectly baked, but the true star was the sauce—delicious, savory, and absolutely mouth-watering. It's a must-try that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting! If you're looking for a spot with a lively vibe, welcoming patrons, and a team that knows how to handle a busy night with grace, The Thirsty Merchant is the place to be. I can't wait to return!

It’s a bar, so atmosphere is a bar. Not a dive, but definitely not a restaurant. Come to eat though, the food is good. The fried pickles are slices, not wedges just a heads up - still good though. The burgers are well seasoned and delicious. The pizza was shockingly good. Minor let down on the nachos, but they’re bar nachos and fit the bill. The place has billiards, darts, music, and a well-stocked bar. I’d return with some colleagues or friends for sure.

The burgers are really good, super juicy and topped with so many extra things. The fries are cooked to perfection and taste phenomenal. I recommend this place if you want a juicy burger with a cold drink. I went here underage so only got food and a energy drink but was nonetheless one of the best burgers I’ve had while staying in California.

I literally took a bite of the deserts and thought, 'Oh my gosh, this is the best thing I've ever tasted!' It's a small and cozy place and the beer was amazing! Definitely recommend coming here if you're in the area and want to grab some food and drinks.

Great Sports bar up the street from my house. Great food and drinks. We always have a good time at the Merchant. Even kid friendly during the day time early evening hours. They have all sorts of games out on the patio like corn hole and Connect 4. They have cards, janga, and some other board games. Also, pool tables, steel tip dart boards and Foosball. If you love sports They have T.Vs all over playing the games of the hour! It's got a little bit of everything for everyone.

Drinks were good. Food was ok. The mozzarella sticks were tasty. Chicken fingers could’ve used more flavor. And, according to my fiancée, the turkey burger was not great. We didn’t get the pizza or wings but both looked good from afar. We had a good time and would definitely come back (to try the pizza and wings).

I like this place. I’ve been 3 times. Most recently I ordered a beer and fried pickles. My bartender helped me select the pickles and she did a great job of helping me decide between the deviled eggs and pickles—the best I’ve ever had. The pickles actually paired well with my $5 beer. It has a great bar with a variety of entertainment, and the food is good. I love the TV screens for UFC nights! It’s sort of communal sitting outside. Customer service is normal. The bar and kitchen staff are straightforward. All food is ordered at the bar. Parking was easy because of the dedicated lot and Riverside Drive west of Whitsett.

A lively place with good drinks and eats with games throughout! The spinach & artichoke dip was delicious and the frose was incredible. My go to game with friends is cricket, but they have pool, cornhole, connect four as well! Beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, love hanging here.
