I was there visiting from out of town with a family member, the cover charge was crazy $20 per person to get in, and then ordered our drinks, 4 mixed drinks and a beer they charged $70 Dollars for that!!! and I left a tip for the bartender and when I got home and looked at my account the bartender added more money than I originally left him onto my bill. 20 dollars more than what I left him. I will never, recommend this place to anyone, no one should be able to change the amount of my receipt. And I tried calling to speak with management and they kept hanging up on me. I will never go back there, when I'm in town again. Signed disappointed. To the owner that just replied, I'm not slandering your business I'm stating facts to my experience there. Sound like you big mad and why have a phone number to a business that no one answer, you sound crazy for even saying that, get voicemail, when you call it just hang up. And if it's was just a hold on the card to make sure it was money on it, it was never returned to my account. Again I have been to many establishment and none in all my 53years of life. Have changed my receipt or had to hold any money coming from a debit card you get your money upon running the card it wasn't a credit card sir/ma'am. Take accountability for the service and server. We just take our own tip should be printed in big letters on the out side of the place as well. How much we want. Just saying it should've never happened and you will you will never see my account there again. Again signed disappointed ☹️ this has nothing to do with the community which I support, because I have a gay son and lesbian daughter, or what your sexuality is or what you identify as,this is about the integrity of your business and employees. Instead of you trying to clap back. Hold your server accountable. Have a good day!!!

I have no idea where these crazy people are going to rate 1s for this place .. I was just there last night and it was great. The food is better than Rainbow cactus, the drinks weren't watered down, it was very clean, it is 100% not catering to white people .. it's insane that that's even being said, it's a gay club race doesn't matter at all. I didn't see the staff or security being rude or bothering anyone, and the bartenders both have me compliments :3 I wish I had known about this place sooner!

Had a fantastic time here for a recent community event. I had the time of my life! This venue has a lot of smart enhancements. Spacious bathrooms, large dance floor, plenty of bars and sexy bartenders, and a fantastic patio area! I even saw pool tables! Music was loud, the crowd was energized, and I felt safe enough to dance the night away among the other members of my community. I'm grateful for this space. Huge improvements since I was in college. Next time someone asks you to go to The Wave, say yes. You won't regret it. (Not a lot of pics from me on this because I was too busy having fun.)

If you scroll through the reviews, you'll see the owner responding to honest opinions in a rude and unprofessional manner. I'd be upset too if I owned a failing club no one seems to like. So, I figured I'd share my thoughts as well. The concept of "THE WAVE" is there, but the execution is terrible. Let’s start with the cover charge. The owner claims in several reviews that it’s meant to cover staff wages, which makes sense for most successful businesses in this field. However, in major cities, paying a cover charge typically comes with some benefits—this place offers none. Usually, you’re paying for exclusivity, a great atmosphere, good music, and the people you might meet. I paid $15 on a Saturday and walked into a ghost town at nearly midnight. Hardly anyone was inside, and the vibe was awful. The only redeeming feature is that there are two dance floors, but no one wants to listen to Lizzo and RuPaul on repeat all night. LGBT people like regular club music too! I was hoping for at least some early 2010s pop. But in the end, what's the point of a dance floor with no people? Now, let's talk about the security—or should I say, the militia. If you think you have time to put on chapstick or fix your hair when you park, think again. Sit in your car too long, and they’ll walk up and harass you to either leave or come.Their attitudes are terrible, and it only gets worse once you’re inside. They watch you like hawks, making the place feel more like a prison than a club. If you have too much fun, they’ll escort you out—which sounds crazy, but it’s true! I’m not even talking about being belligerent and drunk just normal drinking in the club behavior. I understand the need for security, but please do better research and training when hiring staff. I could go on, but I’m sure Google reviews have a limit. See you all at MJ’s down the street this weekend!

. They don't seem very welcoming Of African Americans. It's not as fun as it used to be! It's not as packed as it once was. It's been dry and bland and it's clear they want to appeal to a more white audience. It sucks when people try to say the LGBTQ community should "stick together" and we are in this together but clearly clubs like this clearly show that is not true. I used to love this club but now I absolutely hate it!!

I am a white lesbian woman and I must say this place is disgusting!! I used to love coming here when I was younger and seeing a lot of the regulars. But now I don't see them anymore and the place has lost its essence. One of the bartenders is EXTREMELY rude and the security are all on ego trips. Save your money and go elsewhere!

Nice size place but definitely needs some improvements far as crowd goes. It was pretty dead for a Friday night. But good service, good vibes. Music was hip hop for sure. Definitely would go back overall. Chicken tenders are my go to for food

New to the area. Recommended to visit y a roommate. Amazing staff. Security presence is extremely comforting and respectful. Dj Bird was crushing it. Dance floor is top tier. Can't wait to visit the area and stop by again.
