I recently revisited Three Dots and a Dash after a river tour, and it did not disappoint! During the day, the bar was easy to find with no line to get in, a pleasant surprise compared to my evening visit a few years ago when it was packed. Despite the crowd back then, service was still fantastic, and that hasn't changed. This time around, we enjoyed some small bites and a few of their famous tiki drinks. The cocktails are as delicious as they are aesthetic – vibrant, creative, and perfectly tropical. The atmosphere is unbeatable, with dim lighting and a vintage island vibe that makes it feel like an escape. Whether you're here for the unique drinks or the laid-back yet lively ambiance, this place is a must-visit. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in Chicago!

My partner and I love Three Dots and a Dash! Last night was our second time going, and had a date planned in The Bamboo Room (Reservation only). While they mentioned they were going to be a bit behind on getting us in, they immediately sat us down in the other bar area and comped a round on them for the inconvenience. Truly some of the best service you can get at a cocktail bar! On top of that the drinks are very delicious, the ambience is so much fun, I highly recommend this place for a fun date night!

Visited this hidden treasure during my stay in Chicago, and it's easily one of the coolest bars I've ever been to. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to have dinner, but the drinks were fantastic. Every cocktail comes in its own unique glass, adding to the overall experience. Definitely a spot worth checking out!

This place has been recommended to me several times over the past few months, so I was set on finally trying it during my most recent trip to Chicago. Unfortunately, it left a bit to be desired. Rum isn't my favorite, but I'm always happy to start the night with a fun, tiki themed drink. I got here around 9pm with some coworkers on a Friday and it was pretty busy - not sure how expansive this place is, but I think we got relegated to a side/commoners bar? Still fun, well decorated, and served a full drink menu (I assume). We got an assortment of drinks (one espresso martini, and the rest were rum based) and sipped on them for an hour or so. The side bar is essentially standing room, as every single table/chair there required a reservation, even though there were several empty and unoccupied spots (that remained so for the duration of our visit). A couple of the reserved parties were willing to let us use one or two of their seats, but the bouncers still frowned upon that- said it was something about appearances. OK. Anyway, seating issues aside, I thought this spot was pretty fun, if not a little overpriced, although probably average for big-city living. I'd be willing to try again, next time with a reservation and hopefully able to sit comfortably somewhere!

There is a reason Three Dots is on the list of the top tiki bars in the country. It is an amazing place. Fantastic drinks that are garnished just as well. Not easy to find in the alley, but that is part of the charm. We loved it! Reservations are a must

Fantastic time here! I stopped in for a few cocktails and a bite to eat at the bar. The Pearl Diver, Gremlins After Dark, and Three Dots and a Dash were all fantastic, and beautiful presentation! The bartender was really engaging and answered my questions, creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone. The steak skewers and coconut shrimp (in a coconut!) were absolutely fantastic as well, seriously some of the best I've had. Will definitely be back.

The drinks are delicious and strong. The sweet chili Thai wings were mouthwatering. Ambiance was a vibe dim lights and great music. I strongly recommend.

A hidden gem through an alley downtown, this city tiki bar doesn’t disappoint. With a broad and sophisticated menu of tiki drinks, there is something for everyone. We enjoyed a Sweater Weather and a Rum Barrel while we snacked on some Crab Rangoon. Our waitress was sweet and attentive. Highly recommend if you want to enjoy drinks with some island vibes.
