Each session with Lance is unique and depends on how our shared energies interact in each moment. I would describe Lance’s style as a mix of energy healing and massage. I’ve gotten many types of body work through the years and Lance gave me one of the best experiences of my life. The way they approached the whole process made me feel extremely confident in their knowledge of the body. In our talk before the session, I told them about some longstanding shoulder pain I’ve had. Though they spent less time working on this pain than other practitioners I’ve seen, I had the most relief I’ve ever had on my shoulder. Truly the best my shoulder has felt in a decade — which made me feel increasingly comfortable and capable in the weeks since I’ve seen Lance! They were also incredibly mindful of consent during our session, working slowly on different parts of my body and checking in throughout. This combined with their respectful, calm demeanor made me feel so comfortable. I would definitely recommend Lance to any survivors of trauma looking for a sensitive body work experience. The sliding scale prices are also extremely fair. I cannot say enough good things about Lance and need to experience their healing powers more often!!

My experience with massage therapy used to be at hotels or spa where mostly is about the glam than the practice. I found Lance by the power of web searching (and I would say destiny!) reading about their practice on their website, was much more attracted to their work ethic and focus on supporting the community. Lance works your body in a caring way, where you feel safe. You slowly feel the stress, life complications, and anxieties dissolve throughout the session.

I'm very happy to have found this masseuse in East Austin. Lance has a thorough knowledge of the muscular system, a very calming energy, and is well-seasoned in various techniques. Their playlist is also five stars. I felt very relaxed and grounded after our 60-min session. I will definitely be re-booking!
