Denver's creative spirit knows no bounds, and that extends to the way we unwind. Enter Upstairs Circus! We visited Upstairs Circus, DTC for a girls' morning of tapping into our inner artists. We arrived and were seated in the main crafting area at a long table by the bar. Upstairs Circus was a fun, social atmosphere with over 25 different art projects to choose from. It was a "DIY Workshop Meets Bar," - from leatherworking to jewelry making, there was something that each girl wanted to create. Upstairs Circus' kind & attentive staff was there to guide us through the process. Before we began crafting, we grabbed drinks - what would a creative outlet be without a little liquid inspiration? Upstairs Circus boasted a menu of fun cocktails that complemented the artistic vibe along with a selection of beer & wine. The majority of us decided to create DIY custom concrete coasters. The kits were comprehensive, offering everything needed to create four unique coasters. And the best part? They allowed for endless personalization, from color-blocking to stenciling. We dove into the project. We mixed the concrete, poured it into molds, and let it cure. One of the highlights was the customization process. We all tried out different paints, stencils, and textures to create coasters that reflected our styles - an artsy adventure that created lasting memories with friends.

This was a team building with my coworkers. What a fun way to spend time with people. Love creating something unique that I can take with me. Definitely make reservations to make sure they can accommodate. The staff is super friendly and made it fun. I did the 2 Charmz and I had to redo them. If you choose this one just one good hit with the hammer to emboss the letter. I was overdoing it.

Thoroughly enjoyed our girls night out at Upstairs Circus. No food, but you can bring your own in. Either from home or other restaurants. Just keep it small. Not much table space to waste on big food spreads along with the crafting stuff. Cocktails: they had a nice assortment. I stuck with a seltzer, so can't speak to cocktail quality. Atmosphere: fun, eclectic, good space to craft and socialize. Service: helpful, fun, polite. Pro: LOTS of fun craft options to choose from. So many I wanted to do! Con: instructions are really not that great. Had to ask for clarification or help several times across 3 different projects (and we were a pretty crafty group). Staff were happy to help out though! Highly recommend. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Plan on at least 2-3 hours here.

This place is so cool! I went on the weekend with the bottomless mimosas. The concept is cool and the atmosphere is great. I would say that the mimosas weren't really prepped for bottomless but it could have been that everyone seemed interested in their projects. The staff was so kind, welcoming, and helpful. I will definitely be back

This is a fun place for something along the lines of a girl's night out. The staff were very friendly. And the service was good. One staff member did start changing a co-workers art piece without asking? So that's kinda odd. Other than that a good time.

We went on a week night & there weren't many other people there. The staff mostly kept to themselves & worked on projects at a back table. It also seemed like there were other people who didn't work there hanging out with them. Supplies seemed kind of limited, like there was no painters tape for making straight lines on painted projects, only masking tape which pulled off paint when removed. I had a custom design printed for a painting project & it was printed at lower contrast than the original photo so it was hard to work with & I don't know if I'll even finish the project. Great concept but failed to wow.

Was suppose to charge my $165 for 5 projects since none of us did the mimosas and ended up charging me $267!!!! They charged me for someone else’s drinks and added their own tip even though we tipped on our bar tab on a different card. They gave no receipt when they charged me either! Get your receipt before you leave and confirm what they will be charging you!!!

This was a very good experience. Upstairs Circus is a place where you can build crafts like passport holders or a cutting board, as well as have a drink while you do it. This is a very good adult activity even if you do not have building skills. It’s fun and there’s something to build for everyone. Their drinks are very good and The staff is very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend trying this if you’re looking for something fun to do for a few hours and enjoy a good cocktail.
