Valley Lodge Tavern

What an incredible first experience! We’re opening a restaurant down the street and wanted to support a local business, so we gave this place a try. We were quickly seated and greeted with warm, fresh bread and butter. Our drinks arrived promptly, and our server suggested the salmon and a salad that surprisingly tasted just like a Big Mac—both were excellent. The menu choices were diverse and definitely exceeded our expectations. The manager recommended the key lime pie, which was fresh, creamy, and absolutely perfect. Prices were super reasonable for the exceptional food that was served! This will definitely be our new go-to spot, and we highly recommend giving it a try!

I may have just had the best Chicken Kebob of my life at Valley Lodge Tavern. Incredibly tender, immaculately seasoned and prepared.... it was perfection. My only regret is that I didn't try it sooner! The owner Chris and the staff (shout out Chelsea) have been incredibly personable and attentive. Very much a family atmosphere. This location is in a lovely, historic part of downtown Wilmette and the excellent ambiance and friendly faces will keep you coming back! 10 out of 10 expereince

We had a great experience dining here! Loved the food the service and the music, 70s classic rock!!

Nice looking place. Very slow service. Bartender was too busy eating to really pay attention to us. Lots of fruit flies. Calamari was not really fried. Very wet breading. No truffle on the fries. So many better places nearby to waste your time and money here.

One of my favorite places eat/drink in Wilmette. Service, food and atmosphere is always good. Ashley provided great food service.

Much better quality simple food than we expected for what is essentially a big bar area with an attached dining area, and the service was really good. But it is LOUD. The server apologized because she had to talk loudly for us to hear. A week in France where we realized you could have a great dining experience at all levels without all the din was enlightening. I think most go out to dine and converse, not dine and yell. But the place was jammed, so the atmosphere works for them.

A group of 8 of us came in at 4:30 on a Sunday and we were seated immediately. Brianna is the best, she deserves a raise and a bonus. Brianna for president. Anyway, we got some apps to split and everyone got an entree. Our food was stellar. Absolutely amazing. 10/10. Would definitely recommend and would definitely come back.

Great family-friendly restaurant in the heart of Downtown Wilmette. We had the bbq pork sliders and the beef tenderloin sliders this time. Both were really good. They also have great sweet potato fries. I love their outdoor seating - perfect for people watching on a warm spring night. Service was great, and I love that I can pay the bill from my phone through the toast app.
