I’ve been going to Verlaine in the Lower East Side for years, and it’s always been a great experience. The vibe is consistently cool, with dim lighting, vibrant photos, and good music that set the perfect mood whether you’re there for a dinner date or after-work drinks with friends. I’ve even caught a live salsa band here, which was incredible, and celebrated a New Year’s Eve that was unforgettable! The bartenders have always been chill and welcoming, especially Xavier. On my most recent visit, I enjoyed some light bites like the fried chicken dumplings and sake shrimp skewers, both were delicious! And, of course, my partner’s favorite, the Lychee Martinis, never disappoint. Just a heads up, on weekends, it can get full, so plan to arrive a little early for the best experience. Highly recommend Verlaine as part of a fun night out in the area!

This place is truly a vibe! The service is great . Everyone is super friendly and helpful. Leech martini is so delicious and the food is very flavorful. My favorite from the menu would be the short rib sliders. I also love the shrimp skewers!

I came in on Saturday Aug 21st for the first time and man this place is sexy! The Lychee was amazing!!! Lawrd! Staff were awesome especially the bartenders. This is a veryyy cool spot if you’re on a date! I loved it and I highly recommend it!

Bartender guy with the beard was so rude for no reason!!! My boyfriend wasn’t even having happy hour & the bartender never even acknowledged us. 20% gratuity added despite us never getting service, constantly had to raise our hand for another drink and bartender got mad that we did. We sat on a table first then moved to the bar. The only helpful one was the anime shirt one, he was nice and helpful, he should be bartender or server. Bad service from the servers and that one bartender!!! I do not agree with the 20% tip automatically added!!!!!!

One of my favorite restaurants to go to when I’m in NYC! Love their menu the food is always fresh, served extremely quick and the $8 yummy lychee martini’s are delicious! Can’t go wrong with this place definitely will be coming back whenever I can

Verlaine is a charming Thai restaurant that offers good food, chic decor, cozy ambience, and one of the best happy hour deals in the city. Every Tuesday to Sunday from 5 to 10 PM, they offer their happy hour deal, which includes lychee martinis, rosé sangrias, and red sangrias for $8. Their food is tasty and affordable, and the atmosphere is lively but not loud, making it a great spot for catching up or getting to know someone.

Absolutely obsessed with their lychee martinis. Happy hour goes until 10 pm and you can’t get a better deal. Vibes are great, with nice mood lighting and music that’s not too loud and overpowering. Perfect place for a pregame or date night.

Definitely one of the best bars I’ve been to in LES. Their Happy Hour is a deal, with $8 Lychee Martinis. Service was very friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was very relaxed and a nice vibe to start the evening. Will definitely be coming back.
