This is one of, if not my favorite place on the south shore. With so few good bars and eateries on the south shore, I’ve been wanting a place that my husband and I could visit on the weekly and this is it! The service from our bartender, is top notch; the small plates are so tasty, and the wine is fabulous. I am so excited to return this weekend to see our favorite bartender and hostess, and enjoy the incredible wine and food. The Vine Bar is my happy place.

I had such a lovely dining experience at the Vine Bar! I came all the way from the Bahamas just to try it and my server Maura made it unforgettable. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and clearly very passionate about wine. I came for the wine but stayed for the irresistible small bites that paired flawlessly with every glass I had. I also was pleasantly surprised to learn that all the wines were handpicked from a variety of local and small producers versus the alternative name brand corporations. I definitely see myself becoming a regular customer when I return to the area!

I have to say, I was disappointed by the experience I had at Vine Bar. I came here with my mom on a Sunday early evening - it was slow inside, and pretty laid back, which wasn’t the problem. The disappointing part was that our server was nowhere to be seen 75% of our dining experience - she came promptly when we sat down, but after ordering drinks and an appetizer she disappeared. She never checked in to see how we were doing or if we needed anything - after 30 minutes of sitting with a finished appetizer, we decided to leave - luckily we were able to catch her when we to ask for the check, but we had to flag someone else down to cash out. When we were walking out we glanced towards the outdoor seating (where we saw a group of people) and our server was sitting down outside, socializing with her coworkers. Overall very disappointing experience, I would recommend sitting at the bar instead if you’re looking for attentive service.

Our group of five had a great evening at Vine Bar last night. We came in fairly late - about 30 minutes before the kitchen was due to close, still the servers were really patient with us, answering our questions and offering recommendations. We were very well-cared for the whole dinner. The spinach and artichoke dip was probably the best I have ever had, and the hummus and seafood platter were also very tasty. We also shared the mid-sized cheese and charcuterie platter, and my only gripe was that the brie was much smaller than the other cheeses on the platter (I’m assuming because it was toward the end of the evening and they had run out). If I’m back in Scituate and craving some wine and bites, I’ll definitely return to Vine Bar. The wine by the glass list was extensive and I’d like to try more!

We stopped in New Years Eve early and sat at the bar where my Wife and I received friendly and attentive service. I ordered a Bourbon old fashion which was delicious. My wife ordered a flight (Naty) of white wines. It had four different selections and my Wife loved 3 of the selections and liked the fourth. We had a assortment of small plates, oysters Deconstructed Clam Chowder, Gruyere grill cheese all yummy. They had a lovely dinner menu also but we had a late lunch or we would have tried more items. This spot combined unique cocktails, amazing wine choices which were well priced and also an excellent local beer selection. Lots of great nibbles to complete meals. Perfect for a quick glass of vine or a complete meal. The owners were on site and were lovely folks they paid close attention to food coming from the kitchen and the customer experience. We will be back soon.

This place is perfection. Everyone knows their wine well, the selection is unparalleled, the food is delicious, and the space is beautiful. The owners & staff are wonderful people and I go there every chance I get! 🙂 12/10

I really want to love this place but it is so poorly managed that it is hard to. Called to go a few weeks go in a Sunday, told the kitchen would close at 7:00, said we would be there be 6:30, then told chef may leave so they would try to scrape something together if we wanted food. Didn’t go. Went tonight. Small menu of tapas. Ask what happened to the larger plates. Told chef is on vacation for two weeks?? We left. I mean…This isn’t a restaurant, it’s a bar with no real chef and basic apps.. They should not advertise otherwise on their website. The excuses seem silly for a real restaurant.

A very elegant wine bar with a wide selection of wine. The service was very friendly and the decor is so nice. The food menu is very limited, only appetizers and small bites, so don’t go there hungry.
