Food was fantastic, very good vegetarian options. The nachos were massive and easily can be split among 4 people. The tacos were okay, worth adding some spice to it. If they have the Roasted Poblano soup, get it - it’s vegetarian, creamy and well made. The servers were very friendly and checked on us a few times. Great space, great weather and service. Probably the best in the GC area.

Nice restaurant with lots of seating outdoors and some tables inside. No reservations and just walk-ins. You order at the counter at the bar and they give you a number to put on your table. Find your own table and cold water is from a dispenser by the door leading to the patio. A little cold sitting outside but it's nice to be outdoors and the tables were clean. Bring a jacket in the evenings because there aren't any heat lamps. The elk chili, elk sandwich, and elk burgers were delicious. The personal pizza was a good size but a little on the plain side. The salad was smaller than expected but tasted good and it was fresh. The bowl of soup was a small bowl. Convenient location with a friendly staff and free WiFi!

If you're looking to stay within the park, this place is a great choice. While the food options could be better, the overall experience is positive. The front desk staff are very helpful and attentive. Just be aware that they request guests to vacate 15 minutes before the official check-out time.

Stopped here for a quick lunch during our visit to the park. The place is decent with quick service. I got the grilled chicken quesadilla which was nice and filling. My wife got the green chille burger with the black bean and corn salad. I preferred the burger for the overall taste as the quesadilla felt a bit bland.

I am a vegetarian and found that this place has great options. I ordered the pablano soup and also had the mushroom sandwich. Both were amazing. My wife and I also ordered the GCT Nachos (they have a vegetarian version that has no meat) and we were easily able to share it and had some left over. This place also serves good draft beer which my wife and I ordered as well. I saw a decent offering ofhard liquor as well, but I didn't see a separate menu for it. Service was quick, but it is kind of you order and pay upfront and they bring it out to you. I stayed at the Yavapai lodge for three days and this was the best place among all the dining options in the park.

This tavern was good! The food overall was really good and tasty. Everything was great except the girls who took order was really rude and strict in her saying. She got our order wrong. She also argued that the feta had low dairy and we could have it even though we were lactose intolerant and didn’t want it,she put it anyway. Great food but bad service.

The staff at this establishment was incredibly nice. It’s a great place to stop and grab a quick bite if you’re at the Grand Canyon. Unfortunately the food just wasn’t that great. It’s a real shame because I really wanted to this place and all the food on the menu sounded really amazing I got the elk chili and the fruit salad. The staff are incredible, and the atmosphere is pretty chill as well I don’t want to sound like I hate the place, but I did want to warn you about the food

A great place to stop before after a long hike along southern rim. The portions are massive so you can easily split a bowl with somebody. I’m not sure what the difference between the tavern the café and the lodge all are, but they’re all basically the same place. Plenty of beer, choices and friendly staff. The tavern doesn’t open until noon.
