Zen Massage - Cornelius, NC

I have had multiple messages at Zen, trying out various therapists over the past 2 months. Each massage was nice, per se, but not to my standards of a true deep tissue. If you desire a “deep tissue” Griffin is absolutely the BEST!! I’ve tried about 10 different massage therapist at 5 different establishments within the Cornelius location. None of them came close to the level of deep tissue that I needed. Griffin is probably the best therapist in the entire Cornelius region. He is professional, pays attention to the areas you need addressed and provides a relaxed environment. Griffin is amazing!

I’ve had two massages with Quiara, she is absolutely the best. My body feels amazing, so relaxed and melted all the tension and muscle knots away. Definitely book with Quiara and if she recommends a particular massage, follow her recommendation because she knows what she’s doing and what you need!

Update ::: The owner called and apologized for the experience I had which made me feel a lot better and reassured me this is not how his business is normally ran . After talking to him I’m willing to give this location another chance , for me Customer Service is Everything and the Owner went above and beyond to make it right . Thanks Good Morning, just wanted to let you guys know I along with my husband was at your location yesterday for a couples massage and had a bit of difficulty. My husband’s Threapist was amazing he had no complaints he said it was one of the best massages he has ever had . However my experience was not so great my therapist didn’t even tell me his name but did make sure to let me know he was visually impaired, which I absolutely had no problem with , however several times during my massage he scratched me his nails were too long I told him he was scratching me and he said “I didn’t feel anything” and I was like but I did . This was super rude it really made my anniversary massage with my husband horrible. I did let the lady at the front know but she was a little frazzled as she said today was the 1st day she was working the desk alone , she had some difficulty with my payment as we were given a gift card . I know things are challenging with everything that’s going on in the world but at a place you come to relax you shouldn’t have to sacrifice your peace .

This review is for the facial I received NOT the massage (the massage I got from Kayla today was one of the best ever)! Zen called me yesterday to add on a facial for a $10 discount at the end of my massage and I said sure. I’ve gotten facials before but never here. The esthetician seemed annoyed and rushed. She never explained anything she was putting on my face or what she was doing. Applied everything very quickly / abrasively so it wasn’t relaxing. She was also listening to something with headphones which I could hear and was constantly washing dishes in between products so it was not a calming environment. Extractions were SUPER painful, I know they are normally uncomfortable but this was next level I had to ask her to stop. Most of time was spent just sitting with a mask or product on my face and listening to whatever she had on her headphones - no facial massages or anything. I also don’t believe my $10 was applied lol but didn’t feel like fighting it. Will be back for a massage but will never do any other service again!

Honestly, I hate that I had to give this place a star at all. It was definitely not an experience I want to try again. First off, I didn't get to utilize my own gift certificate for my birthday here because when I made the appointment it wasn't explained to me that I would need to let them know in person that I was there on a certificate. Although when I made the appointment, that information was given and I was given a code as if they were going to honor it when I come in. How am I supposed to know unless being told that I need to mention again that I'm using a certificate?. It doesn't make sense. Secondly, my massage was not good at all, even after expressing the concern nothing was done about it. I'm over it. I would like to add, your response is a HUGE lie, please make sure you know what client you're referring to before you respond. No one showed me anything on my phone, I didn't even realize that the gift card that my husband purchased for my birthday back in January for my visit in March wasn't applied to my purchase that day as I paid for other products. It wasn't even realized until I called back and asked what all I paid for, which was why I made another appointment to utilize the gift card that I was NEVER able to use. This was WRONG and basically money wasted. I love when companies try to reply in defense rather than professionalism and sincerity in trying to fix the problem. Please have a good night. Just do better.

I had a wonderful massage experience with Griffin. My back was much relaxed afterwards.

First time visiting Zen Massage. The environment was peaceful and relaxing. My MT, Greg, was very professional and did a great job with my problem areas, especially with the fascia scraping technique. At the time, I didn't know what he was doing, I just felt that the tension was literarily scraped away with his movements. It was awesome! Will definitely return and strongly recommend Zen Massage!

I didn't have an appointment and they were able to get me in quickly. Taryn was fantastic, explained a lot and did a great job. I feel 100 percent better. Will definitely be back.
